Not only as the site given errors all day for me but it's failing to load properly in general. It's taking upwards of two minutes to load each page. I'm on cable and everything else is perfectly fine. It's just something with this site that's utterly melting down and not loading.

There was a site-wide technical issue between about 8pm EST and 11pm EST. Any errors before that are likely to be old files chached on your PC. Try deleting your temporary internet files and try again. Thanks.

OK , I've cleaned out all the cookies, deleted temporary files, cleared history, ran Norton Clean Sweep, and deleted index.dat files!

It still does not refresh. What else do I need to do ?

I want my WDWMagic!!:D

Are you able to logout and log back in again?

Yes, I can log out then log in again. The only real problem now seems to be that the front page is always about 2 - 3 hours old when I log in and will never refresh. I guess I could live with this it just seems odd and I'm used to it refreshing ! Any clues? Is it just me?

I am using Firefox and also noticing a problem with the front page refresh.

For Example:
Currently, "The Living Seas" thread is at the top of the WDW General Discussion Forum, however when I go into the forum itself, it is 12th on the list.

Are you seeing this problem occur just in the past few days?

Yes, and just so you know, I have also cleared my cache, history and cookies.

By the way, this is my favorite board. You have done a great job.

Do you have the same problem in IE6? What are you cache settings on your browser?

Yes, same problem with IE 6.0, and IE is set for "Every Visit to the Page".

Firefox setting is :
browser. cache. check_doc_frequency = 3

0: Check once per browser session
1: Check every time I view the page
2: Never check (always use cached page)
3 (default): Check when the page is out of date (automatically determined)

I am probably going to change it to 1, just for some work stuff that I am doing, but have not noticed it being a problem yet.

Are you visiting the site via some kind of intermediate proxy/cache server? (normally found on a corporate network), or are you using an ISP? If so what kind of connection are you on?

Proxy - yes
Cache Server - not sure

I am on a WAN that has at least two gateways. It is possible that this is being cached in the proxy, however I have just noticed the problem. Not to say something has not changed in our network. I will check from home and see if I am seeing the same problem. If not then we can write it off as network change on my side.

Thanks

I am relatively sure it's on your network, as the page is sending the no-cache information correctly, and I am not seing any caching taking place on my test machines here. However, there has been an upgrade over the last few days, so I wouldnt fully rule that out.
