Last month I struggled with the new 'improved' subscription system and cancelled/resubscribed several times (at five bucks a pop no less) before somehow making it work. Then I get an automated email saying my membership is expired and I have to start from scratch apparently.

Could someone be so kind as to explain how to set up a reoccuring WDWMAGIC Premium Pass subscription so I don't have to go through this every month? I've probably given a few hundred bucks to this stupid site over the past few years so I don't think I'm asking all that much. Thanks.

There are no more self renewing monthly subscriptions. It has to be done on a month to month basis. Thats why most of us have gone to the Yearly Subscriptions.
