WDW vs. the World

having read all of this finally.... I would rank the Tokyo Disney Resort #1, followed by Disneyland, and THEN WDW. With DLP is distant 4th.

And yes, I've been to all 4 resorts... so I will judge

I hate overall ranking...

Tokyo Disney Resort is weird. It's cool because it's in Japan, and it's great because Tokyo DisneySea is there, but I'm not a huge fan of TDL park. In fact it's probably my least favorite of the four I've been to -- it's just such a mish-mash of lands and rides thrown together without many solid boundries of where one land ends and the next begins. The example I always use is that I've left Tomorrowland, and think I'm in Fantasyland, but Star Jets is still 20 or 30 feet ahead of me. Or am I in Toontown?

I guess part of the problem is it's harder to have solid boundries with such wide walk-ways... which I also don't like about the place but obviously understand their necessity.

But -- while I'm not a huge fan of the PARK, I much prefer several of the RIDES to their counter-parts. I thought their Splash Mountain just looked great - inside and out. The queue is pretty damn cool, and there's just a lot more detail in the show scenes on the ride. I liked their Big Thunder Mountain more than the other three (yes, I'm just not a huge fan of the Paris one). Pooh speaks for itself... and I'd kill to get a Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour in the states.

I guess I've never really considered which *Resort* I like best - as much as which Magic Kingdom Park I prefer (of course Disneyland). I mean it's hard to say WDW is not the best resort with all it has, though it's kind of blah when you go there virtually every day. Going to Disneyland still feels magical, though the Resort itself isn't that great. I like Disneyland Paris a lot, though the Resort isn't very great there either.

Your logic was that having those attractions was what made Disneyland Resort so great. So, if those attractions also exist at Tokyo Disney Resort, why is Disneyland instantly better?

Shall we just cut to the chase and admit it's a cost of travel issue for you?

Oh so when and where did I wrote that Disneyland is instantly better, or where did you ever see me comparing these 2 resorts.
Your logic is that Disneyland is so great so it is better than Tokyo Disney Resort. Where did that conculsion coming from?
When I wrote HMH, Indy and Fantastmic are superstars of the parks, I mean they are the most popular attractions in the park. I don't even want to argue with you which HMH/Indy is better between DL/TDL/TDS despite I think they are different. There is simply not a word from my post to say something like "DL is better TDL." Tokyo resort has something more popular that than those such as Pool's honey hunt/Journey into Center of Earth that's why I didn't say the same thing about TDL. I guess if you are so familiar about TDL. you should'be known Pool is the number one attraction in that park.

Oh by the way Tokyo Disneyland resort doesn't have Fantasmic, do they?
Can I now safe to say Fantasmic makes Disneyland so great? If you want to put TDS into account (Indy is in TDS, not TDL) Ok how about DCA is part of Disneyland resort. So I guess it's hard to say which resort will win the battle, right?

And then your logic becomes that I don't like TDR cause money issue.
Well if you need to worry about travel cost to Tokyo I just felt sorry for you. I don't have that issue casue I lived there for 3 years and I went there about 8 times without one plane ticket.

Just go back and read your own posts. Hell, if you want, you can reply to them as well! I'm through having this debate with you though. Here, I'll even let you win. I did not know that the pool was the NO.1 ATTRACTION AT TDL!!!1!

In fact I didn't know that TDL even had a pool.

MKT, others, - I'll gladly continue having a friendly debate over which resort / park is best if you'd like.

Get a life.
Since when you have any friendly debate?
I didn't win anything. And I don't want to win anything either.
If you think you let me win or lose anything, that is your bussiness.

I'll pass on the debate, because a debate based on a persons opinion is pointless. A debate based on facts is more fun.

WDW is superior to DLR....as for those parks outside of the US...I can't say...yet...

But....thats my opinion....

I have always wanted to go to france. I think it's because Disney takes better care of there guest. You have a nicer feeling them, when they call "Guest" and not customers.

This reminds of me of a joke about women- they're all beautiful and there's a different one every day...

Seriously, travel the world and you'll see things from each park that you'll want to grab for your "preferred park".

Mixing and matching I'd grab:

Space Mountain from DLP. Unique and inspiring.

DisneySeas has to be seen in person to understand how cool it is. I'd grab the whole park and bring it over. And yes, Winnie the Pooh, especially Tigger's sequence puts the Orlando park's ride to shame.

I've yet to get a good enough glimpse at the Hong Kong DL, but from what I've heard, it has a completely separate feel- and the Jungle Cruise is more photogenic.

From Disneyland, I'd bring over the better cues. The lines are certainly a lot better. Red rover, red rover, let Indiana Jones come on over...

Despite this all, I prefer WDW, and continue to make it my ideal vacation destination. Afterall, it has the Tomorrowland Transit, my childhood memories and Epcot all wrapped up in a nice package.

Don't bash other parks, instead visit them and hog all the memories for yourself.
