If you're like us, you cannot get enough of the WDW Specials that are on some of the speciality channels. Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Food Channel and HD-TV.

We love to watch them on rainy days and think about our next trip. Here is an excellent site that many of you may already know about. It lists the upcoming shows on TV that are related to the WDW parks. Enjoy! :sohappy:

I knew a site like this must exist somewhere, but I didn't have enough ambition to go out and find it. Thanks for the link, I'll keep it with my bookmarks!

I have all mine on TiVo. I watch one at least weekly. Best thing to watch while I am ironing.

Also, I have wornout my 2004 vacaction tape. My husband has placed all our disney video trips on different tapes, so I watch those over and over! I have about 8 to choose from, but somehow, 2004 gets watched the most!

Be careful not to wear out your tape so much that it will break. I noticed my tapes weren't playing very well, so I brought them into work and converted them to DVDs. Shortly after, the tape gave way. :hammer:

Put those tapes to DVD

I've been converting VHS to DVD,too. At least a few of my VHS tapes of things I recorded years ago (including WDW vacations!) are starting to deteriorate both in magnetic signal and in stretching/breaking of the tapes. The stretching is noticed by the VCRs (yes, tried both) reluctance to rewind or FF.

I just hope the DVDs hold out with retaining their signal. I use what I can only suppose are the good brands. The way they keep throwing out a new 'standard' format of one thing or another every 5 years, with ever increasing chances that old media may or may not work on the new system, it's a little maddening that I'm wondering if I'll be able to view my home movies of my vacations in 10 years.

I was cleaning out the closet yesterday and found a great video I took of many attraction incarnations in Epcot and MK from 1987 no longer there.
I find that the older tapes I have, at least 10-15 years old or more, are holding up better than anything purchased more recently than 10 years, no matter what the brand.

Thanks DSNYKID! I always comb the TV Guide channel to see when the next Disney-related special will be on. This makes it much easier!:sohappy:

My husband has tried to convert these to DVD but has not been overly successful. The picture and the sound don't work together. We even upgraded software thinking that would solve the problem.
