Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forums but I have been reading for a while now. I would like to know if anyone has been on one of the backstage tours lately besides the Keys to the Kingdom tour. (I did that one already). I am going in August and I was thinking about doing another one. Any thoughts?

Pirate...first welcome...

My two favorite tours were the Backstage Magic (very pricey) and the Epcot's Future World Tour (rec'd Fastpass to Test Track & Priority Seating to Reflection of Earth)

I have never tries the Segway tours.

Here is a list of all of the tours available:

very cool. I never knew they had tours like that. I may have to try going on one on my next visit.

Hi Pirate! Yes, as mentioned, the Epcot Undiscovered Future World Tour is awesome. You'll learn so much more about all the Future World attractions! I loved getting to sit in the top level of the Imagination Pyramid with our group and seeing Epcot, plus we learned more about how Turtle Talk and Test Track work behind the scenes. Going backstage into Epcot Costumes was neat as well as seeing how Illuminations is done. As mentioned, you get VIP seating for that night too. My tour guide was Jordan and he was outstanding.

I've also done the Around the World in the Segeway at Epcot as well as the Hidden Treasures tour at Epcot. If you love World Showcase, you'll love Hidden Treasures and learn so much about all the detail that went into building each pavilion, as well as get to go "behind" different countries. When our tour guide asked us to see how the Eiffel Tower really looks from behind France, part of me didn't want to see. :)

And I loved the Segeway Tour too. You get to ride around in World Showcase before it opens. And don't worry, it's very easy to learn! My tour guide was Sarah and she was fantastic.

I want to do the Yuletide Fantasy Tour at Christmas next, and the Backstage Magic and an Animal Kingdom tour next year. I've heard good things about all of them too.

We did the Magic Behind the Steam Trains tour at MK back in January and loved it. You're in the park before it opens, and get to ride around the park on the test run of the morning, then go back to the roundhouse backstage, which is also home to the monorail barn (my favorite!), so you will most likely catch some of the monorails heading out for the day. A ton of history about trains in general and Walt's love of trains in particular. I would highly reccommend this to anyone, even if you aren't a train buff. I wasn't, but I am now!

On our honeymoon a few years ago we did the Epcot Seas Aqua Tour along with a few other tours. I would have to say this was the best thing we've ever done in Disney! We had so much fun swimming with the fish and waving to the people on the other side of the glass. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes snorkling, or anything like this. It really is something different to do on a Disney vacation!

For anyone that has done the Backstage Magic Tour recently. Has anyone done this tour since all the major security changes etc? Do you still get to vistit the Utilidors as before? or any other hints as to where the tour takes you now in the different parks? Thankyou in advance...

I did the tour last year... and yes, guests still enter the utilidors - and get to enter the Magic Kingdom by bus behind Main Street. It's also neat to go backstage behind The Living Seas, The Land, on to World Showcase and behind the American Adventure by bus. Seeing the American Adventure from level 1 is amazing.

Much of what is offered at Epcot's Undiscovered Future World Tour (minus tours of each building/JII's upstairs) is available at the Backstage Magic.

I would recommend this tour if you had a choice. It DOES take up eight hours, but it gives a much more effective perspective. It tours places you might not have known existed, and it does touch on the resort's first three parks. Highly, highly recommended. Then again, I did all three and was never bored.

Don't forget about the Behind the Seeds tour! It offers a really cool look at all the different growing and pest control techniques used in The Land. Plus, it's the least expensive of all tours.

I did the Backstage Magic tour last month and it was superb, we went to costuming, utilidors, American adventure etc. at $199.99 it was well worth the price, and i would definately recommend taking part in it.

Hope you find this information useful.

I've done 3 tours and loved every minute of them. The first one I did was Backstage at the Animal Kingdom. It was awesome. How many people get the chance to actually pet a Rhino and be less than 10 feet from a 4 year old girffe :D

The second tour was the Backstage Magic Tour. Again fantastic tour. Went Backstage at the other 3 parks and learned a whole lot about Disney.

Third tour was the Dolphins In Depth Tour at The Living Seas in EPCOT. I think this was my most favourite tour. We learned about the research that Disney is doing in regards to Dolphins and even got to help with a training/research session before actually getting in the water (the big tank) with the 2 trainers and the 2 dolphins. We spent 30 minutes in the water with them and we each got our picture taken with one of the dolphins. Would do this tour again in a heart beat.

Next tour on my list to do is the Yuletide Fantasy Tour when I visit next Christmas.
