Definitely not bs I was a victim around a month ago. I was working at MK and made fast passes for myself to use after work. I didn't know I had to re enter the park as a guest...

Interesting, no one has posted this info yet, not anywhere I have been checking anyway. So you used a ticket that had a FP+ on it but that ticket was not used to enter the park that day? You tried to enter the FP queue and Mickey turned Blue instead of Green and then when you logged into your MDE you had this message referenced on that ticket?

I used my main gate which is your free park ticket for CMs. I was able to use my fast passes I made but 2 days later I saw on the app my fast pass privileges were taken away. At guest relations they told me I had to re enter the park as a guest or my ticket would be officially banned from FP+.

I can see how this happened. As a CM, you can enter the park through backstage areas. You do still have to swipe your ID through an access point, but clearly, that system is not connected to the park guest admission media system. So, a CM finishes their shift before closing, changes, and heads out into the park to use FP+ reservations. No problem before this change.

But now, a CM will have to change, leave backstage, exit the park, and immediately come back through the guest entrance using their Maingate, or else the FP+ system thinks you're a cheater.

This indicates that it is in effect and is apparently locking out accounts. It's good to know that Disney is taking steps to correct this loophole in the system. Let's just hope they don't start charging for FP.

OK, so you were working at the park but didn't check in with that same ticket. Then you attempted to use the ticket and got that message. Did they lock your account or just prohibit you from using Fastpass on that ticket for that attraction?

They locked my account from booking additional fast passes until I spoke to guest relations. They told me the next time it happens I lose fast pass privileges forever.

Gotcha, but as I understand it what prompted it? Was it when you attempted to use a Magic Band/Ticket that wasn't used to enter the park? If so, that's consistent with other things that have been reported.

Also, may I use that screen shot on my site and/or Twitter?

Yep I used my magic band after my shift was over and didn't know at the time I had to re enter the park as a guest. Sure you can use the screen shot.

I still see a lot of plastic tickets, this is mostly because of tour groups and school trips or one day guests.
Or non-WDW resort guests, which is a huge chunk of the attendance every day.

TSMM FP availability was dramatically changed by the third track. Last summer we were able to get FP for as close as the next hour while in the park. This never happened before they expanded it.

I'm sure the new rules eliminated some abuse, but I doubt it was enough for us to actually notice a change in availability or standby times.

Especially since there are still workarounds for the loopholes that were closed.

Question...

Are you still able to be late for your fastpass and they'll let you slide? I've never had an issue with this before and I hate to take advantage of a perk such as this, but while with a one-day-pass out-of-towner, we were admittedly late by maybe 40 minutes and had to reason with the most unmagical ToT cast member known to man (not being rude, I couldn't be more appreciative of CMs considering the face they have to put on and the heat and the guests..) but this guy was almost unbelievably cold. I hate to be that way, but I was a bit shocked given how much *I* try to brighten their day.

I think the grace period is only 5-15 minutes depending on the CM, 40 is pushing it especially because of the hour window from when it starts. Sucks that he was being rude/cold about it though.

Understandable enough. Again, it's nothing I like to abuse but my friend had a one-day park hopper and we tried (and did) hit up all four parks. Naturally, taking things like getting up early and bus ride length into consideration do not come as quickly to an out-of-towner (who hadn't been since 2000. Talk about shell shock i.e. the app, making fastpasses). He wanted to see AK first, but we planned our FP for the Studios (since Avatar was out of the question... Which I still had to explain the logistics of. Had we waited in line, we surely wouldn't have made ToT) in the hopes we would make the Studios around noon. Anyway, it was just so odd to feel scolded by a CM for even attempting to explain the circumstances. At least there's a bit of lead way, I can applaud that.

Definitely agree with you, I feel bad because most of them (CMs) are just trying to follow the rules but some are downright rude (not all and not most of them) and I hate having bad CM interactions - I know how sucky their job can be at times, but they should try to uphold integrity too.

I guess I'm being a drama queen because I've never had that experience before. When I found out the We Wants the Redhead t-shirts were sold out, we just laughed it off together. I'm not usually a "can I speak to your manager?" kind of person D;
