WDW to DL

As some of you know, I've been kicking around going to Disneyland. It is easier for me to get away from work for longer individual periods of time than multiple periods of time. The latest idea I have had us possibly shortening my 12 day WDW trip by 5 days and flying to DL for 5 days. Has anyone gone from one park to the other. Pro's and con's? I'm a bit worried about hitting DL during Grad week.

@Mukta I'm considering May 27-June 1 at WDW, travel to Anaheim the 1st. DL June 2nd thru 6th, traveling home the 7th or 8th. Trying to hit DL during the week for possibly less crowds. Do you know when Grad nights are? Trying to avoid that.

Thanks for the info Raven24. I really like the window we hit WDW due to the fact that we get out of school a bi earlier than some other areas, this less crowds, and Star Wars Weekends. Looks like we will have to approach DL as a separate trip. My wife has expressed interest in going around Halloween, so may work for the best.

Yes, I'd just keep your WDW dates as they are. You don't want to go to DL during a Grad Nites. You have to share the parks with so many obnoxious seniors. It's not fun and not worth it.

Ugh, I just had dinner at the Blue Bayou in June. It should have been a lovely dinner, but it was during grad night.

Each boat that passed us screamed, said something obscene, or was generally unpleasant. I can't wait to go back when it isn't grad night.

These are the stories I keep hearing about grad night, and the reason I'm trying to steer clear. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Luckily we just missed the grad nights when we went, I don't think I would have wanted to be there then! I highly encourage you to plan a trip to DL sometime though it is awesome (WDW is still home though).
