You're room key acts as your tickets you dont have to put them on Disney does it for you for how many tickets you purchase. Your room key also acts as your credit card if you have your card attached to the key and also your meal plan if you choose the dining plan.

If you booked a package, they will automagically be on your Keys to the World card [your room key]. If not, you can have them added to your KttW card by the resort Concierge. Unless you have APs, then they have to stay separate.

Sorry for hijacking this thread - but can someone answer this question for me? I have friends that are going to Orlando in January, and they plan on going to WDW at least 4 days out of their trip. I have been advising them about just buying 6 day tickets for their six days in the Orlando area - as it is not a big added expense. If they end up not using one of the days in the middle of the week, can they use the extra day admission on the last day of their trip to essentially to park hop once? Any help would be appreciated.

No they can't. They cannot park hop without the park hopper option. If they try to enter the second park that day, the turnstile will not let them in.

so even if you buy paper tickets in advance you can them put on ur cards when you get there?
Resort Concierge can transfer paper tickets [except APs] to your key card, yes.

To go to more than one par in a given day, you have to have the Hopper add-on. An admission is a one-park, one-day admission. You can leave a park and return to it as many times as you like during a day, but hopping only works with a Hopper ticket.

Your friends would be better off buying four-day tickets if that's their minimum plan. They can add extra days for very little if they want to go back after they've used their four days any time within 14 days of the first time they use their ticket. A three-day base ticket is $238.56 a fourth day is less than $9, the fifth to ninth days cost less than $6 each and the tenth costs under $5... You can't buy 11 day tickets.

The Hopper option costs about $58 no matter how many days you have. If they only wanted to hop one of their days it costs the same as if they hop all of their days.

Why? You can add days within 14 days of first-use, so if they end up going five days they can simply add on the extra day. And in order to visit more than one park in one day, you MUST have the park hopper option.
