WDW Theme Park Attendance

I think the size and proximity to population are the reasons WDW has the higher attendance.

This is one of the reasons for me, and why I have been to WDW 3 times this year - flights from NJ only take 2 hours, and aren't that expensive. It's easily 5 to 6 hour flight time for me...and if I was crazy enough, only about 18 hours in a car.

I guess they are still getting over the nuclear problems too. Tourism in Japan in general was hurt a lot. I agree that raw attendance numbers do not correlate to quality of the park or experience.

The drop was a decade before the earthquake and attendance has rebounded quite well since the parks reopened.

I wasn't saying CA receives more tourists. I was saying California has more things to do

I really don't like Jack in the Box but a lot of Easterners do. I don't know why. Everything else, I agree with In-N-Out is my absolute favorite.

hahaha, I dont like Jack in the Box either....except for their tacos. They always sucker me in. Im not an easterner, but people in Colorado seem to LOVE JitB and dont understand my dislike for it. lol

It was Spring Break '10 for us...we might try for May of '13. We tend to spend no more than 3 days at DL, then visit family for another 3 or so.

Girl, tell me about it. Their tacos are decent. I haven't eaten one in a really long time, though. Their burgers turn me off. McDonald's before Jack in the Box, always.

I think WDW simply has higher attendance figures because of it's size. With more parks and so many more hotels than DL people can stay longer and do more which prompts them to visit more often.

Anyone else agree though that they have a "home" Disney? Like I've been to DL multiple times, but WDW many times more. WDW will always be my "home" Disney vacation. So maybe more people choose WDW as their "home" and visit more frequently there upping the attendance figures?
