WDW Pre Opening Reservation

Hi everyone,

Me and my partner are visiting WDW for the first time in May. We're from the UK and have managed to get a 8.30AM reservation at Be Our Guest.

The main reason was to try and get into the park before opening and the crowds begin.

I've read recently that there has been change to the welcome show that now means it happens inside the park. I can't however find any answers on whether or not this affects our plans. Has anyone been recently who knows if having an early reservation is still beneficial? Or does anyone know what time they now start letting people into main street?

Thanks! :)

I haven't been there since the change so I have no first hand experience that will help. But I did see another post on this same topic somewhere. With guests now being allowed into the park early along Main Street, you will not have somewhat empty pictures in front of the castle. And with an ADR at 8:30 most people will be in the parks and in the standby lines before you finish eating. You will be one of the first into the Fantasyland portion of MK but won't be able to ride any rides. The last time we had an early morning ADR at MK for Be Our Guest, our time was at 8:00AM. We were finished eating and out by 8:35. They had started up the rides and allowed us on Peter Pan ride before they opened up the park to everyone, which was at 8:45AM. We had just enough time to do the ride twice before the crowds surged in. If you could get an earlier time at BoG, close to 8 then I would say maybe bc you would still be in Fantasyland before the rest of the crowds. But with an 8:30 ADR, if the park opens at 9, I would have to say probably not worth it as their food at breakfast was not very good last time I was there. And I've seen on these boards, that it hasn't gotten better. It's still worth it to get to the park early when crowds will be lighter.

We have an ADR at BoG for 8:20am which I'm good with since we will prob still be in Fantasy land before the crowds are released. But still wondered if they let you in before 8am if you have an early breakfast ADR?

I would keep it because if you get there early enough they may still seat you.

I've been to MK for pre-opening breakfast 4 times and the earliest we ever got into the park was 7:50AM. You spend most of your time waiting in the line to get into the park.

There will be more people walking down main street now. People are now allowed to walk up to the hub area although can't go into specific lands until the park opens. Think it's still worth it, but you don't get a completely empty park as you use to.

With the 8:30am breakfast, you will be allowed to enter the park around 7:45am. They are letting in anyone with a pre-opening ADR in at the same time if you arrived early enough. You will not have to wait until 8:30 to enter.

You can walk down Main Street and are directed to the left in in front of Crystal Palace where a Cast Member will direct you to BOG. It will save time if you all pre-order your breakfast.

After finishing, you can leave and will be held back from boarding Fantasyland rides (7DMT or PPF, etc). They will let you start boarding shortly before the ropes are dropped from the show in front of the castle ends. You all should be able to ride a couple of times before the crowds really hit the area.
