I have something to share that I think you guys would appreciate. When I was 11 or 12 years old I got a WDW playset for Christmas. It was only the main street and a cardboard cut-out of the Castle that stood at the end of main street and had a box behind it that played "It's a Small World" repeatedly. It came with 6 buildings, horse and trolley, people, and the train that would go around a circular track that you put around the park...Its no more now, the train broke down first, then the buildings and finally the horses tail broke off. It was nice when I had it! :)

Sounds cool cuteypatooty78. Do you have any of the pieces still or are they gone for good?

There were a few different playsets. They were all mostly made by Sears. I have one on my model train layout. I have the monorail circling it as well. It's pretty sweet.

I had this set, too. It was available exclusively through Sears around 1988 or 89, I think.

When I wasn't using it to pretend that I was walking around Main Street, I used to pretend that it was the courtyard from Back to the Future....

It took just a little bit of digging, but I found a picture:

Interestingly, the site that I found the picture on sells Disney park memorabillia, and the playset happens to be for sale ($149), along with various accessories (character figures, horse trolley, etc.).

I too was given this play set and I never set it up?!?! I lost the box of stuff in a move and after seeing the picture it would have been cool to give to my son who would love to have played with it.

I bought some of mine on eBay for around $60, and the set at an antique store for $70...

It looks great when it's built. I'll have to get some pics next time I'm in Chicago.
