The layout of the store is kinda horrid so I suspect they are going to fix that issue. It's difficult to get out of once you have your drink if it's busy.

Correct. This is the first permit for actual construction work on SWL. I believe 'D' is for Delos which is a code name associated with Star Wars Land in California.

There were two permits today for "General Construction" from the contractor Colwill Engineering, one for the entrance to the TTC and another for the entrance to Magic Kingdom. The contractors specialized in electrical work, so I am wondering if this is related to security updates.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit of they were to push most of the security bag checks and metal detectors to TTC and install just one section of bag checks and metal detectors for bus and water transport in front of MK. It would eliminate most of the backups in front of the park which is considered bad show while giving them more space for screening everyone who goes through. Actually with regards to water craft I can see them implementing something similar to Universal's method where they have a screener at the docks of the resorts. I guess we are going to find out soon.
Remember, you can still walk up from Contemporary or come in via bus. They are still going to need metal detectors, in some capacity, near the entrance

It wouldn't surprise me. Disney is doing a great job of eliminating the Tackiness of Downtown Disney and replacing it with the sleek clean look of disney Springs.

Yes they are i hope the whole west-side area gets redone (On the outside) because its tacky over there so i would want to at least change the outside of disney quest and cirque du soleil

The outside of Cirque is fine although it could use some greenery around it in the form of planter beds. The rest of the area on the lake side from House of blues to the Starbucks could use a sprucing up however.

Buses could have a security checkpoint in the Magic Kingdom, while the Express line bypasses it. The Resort line could not have security at all, while the express does. Water craft coming from TTC could do the same. That along with redoing the entrance of MK would go a long way.
