I will never outgrow WDW. WDW will outgrow my income very soon though.

Well said although I would say that if the experience and attractions were growing/maintained commensurate with the price I would have less of a problem.

For me it comes down to ROI (return on investment) of our vacation dollar. It is not so much becoming un-affordable (although more planning is needed these day$) but rather can we get an experience elsewhere that we enjoy as much that although it may not be an amusement park type vacation we can get an equal to relaxation/enjoyment out of it. I am not sure why everyone always compares WDW to Uni or some other type of theme park vacation, Disney should be competing with the Bahamas, Caribbean, Grand Canyon, Europe etc and not just other parks. If they want my dollar they have to make me want to go there both by the experience and value.

I'm not even sure how I even manage to say a temporary goodbye. I kinda get into a shock and am guided out, numb and confused, trying not to get into a hysteric fit in a bid to save what's left of my dignity after bawling like a three year old at my last Wishes / Illuminations.

I could never do a final farewell.
Was that you standing next to me during Illuminations in October??? LOL I do the SAME thing... to hell with dignity I say! LOL My DH says
EVERY trip as we leave, as I wipe the tears off of my face "Deb, we've been here over 20 times, you KNOW we'll be back!!", He just doesn't get it!!! LOL

Though I treat every trip to WDW as my last, cause I run around like a maniac trying to do everything I possibly can, while driving my wife nuts, I could never do a final farewell. I recently rediscovered my love for the parks after an eleven year absence in 08,and have been back three times since then. We took our son there for the first time last year and we definitely plan on having many, many more trips throughout the years.

Our trip in February may be our last. Between the lack of new attractions, maintenance of the old ones, and the NextGen nonsense, I think we're about to become a Universal Orlando family. As much as I've loved WDW over the years, I just don't like the direction it's heading.

I whish I will never have to say farewell to Disney.:(

I want my family to spread my hash on the seven sea lagon:p (I wonder how many peoples do that?)

This reminds me of my grandma telling me a few years ago that she wished she could go back one last time with all her great grandchildren, she started singing It's a small world and my two boys joined in with her. Unfortunately by the time she told me that she would have been in no condition to go. Oh how I wished I could have given her that. But anyways folks, there will always be a last time for everything so take it all in like it will be the last every time.

I'm not saying goodbye, but I am starting to think of other options for vacation. I used to play with numbers with flights, hotels, and tix for WdW. I know find myself looking at all-inclusives like Punta Cana and such. I think our next trip will be maybe after the completion of FLE. The next would be maybe the completion of "Avatar Land"...if it happens. Gotta go, Punta Cana beaches are calling my name.

I really don't forsee that ever happening. I have gone to WDW before I started my family with friends, with my family now and when my kiddies are grown I think I will enjoy a new way to go...alone with my hubby and then taking my grandkiddies. I think I will cherish each stage.

IF I HAD to say goodbye (tear) I would want my last moments in The Magic Kingdom, seeing the castle behind me as I walked away.

Sad story but true~~~when I used to go with my friends, my friends uncles boyfriends brother (I swear this is true) was dying of cancer and he wanted to be in Disney, particularly Epcot for the last time. They met us for a couple of days while we were there. It was sad knowing that it was his last trip but he was very happy and lived in the moment. Sadly, he did pass a couple of months later but his family all remembered that trip and how happy it made him. :(
