You rock!
Thanks a bunch. This will be great, I'm going down to Disney the first week of January, and would love to get them on my iPod to watch on the plane ride down.
Thanks again!

No problem. Where in Joisey are you? I work there and can possibly burn a copy of them on dvd and give it to you so you can put them on your iPod and keep a hard copy of it.

Merry Christmas to all Disney World fans! History Channel is BY FAR my absolute favorite television channel, I watch it everday! I remember hearing rumors of an upcoming History Modern Marvels special being filmned in the World back in June, so to finally have it debut, on Christmas Day no less, is a major gift to me! This DVD is certainly on my list!:sohappy:

Oh, I'm up north. No problem. PM me with your info and I can mail it out to you. Consider it a present. It is the time of year for giving, isn't it? :xmas:

You beat me

I just heard about this and wanted to start a thread about it. However, as somebody above said, six other people beat me to it. So this is a bump to keep the thread active so that other people who haven't seen it will find out. Thanks for beating me, guys.

Anyone else disappointed by the program? download EE segment here.

I didn't like that they were using Paris' RNR for footage.

Oh well. Raven's segment on ABC's Parade special was better imo

I liked it. It was at least more updated than what the travel channel airs

BTW: I got an Ipod nano today :p

I liked it! I thought that they did a good job of explaining technical stuff. I feel like the Travel Channel glosses over that stuff too much. The geek in me loved it! :D

Just two months ago I was thinking a documentary on the early construction of WDW would be interesting.

To me, I would have loved to see a lot more detail/interviews about the early construction phases, more on why they decided to plant parks in certain locations, why they veered away from Walt and Roy's original vision etc.

Still, I think its the best doc. so far.

Dh and I enjoyed the program. We found it to be full of things we never heard or saw before. I guess the only problem would be that there is so much to cover and you can only do so much in 2 hours. I hated to see it end. For me, it could have gone on and on.

I thought it was a really nice summary of the development of Disney World in general, the parks more specifically and some rides even more specifically.

Sure, if you spend much time reading books about Disney World, there wasn't much new, but for 99% of the population who never heard of a utilidoor before, it was very nicely done.

I thought the program was quite interesting. I loved learning the little bits of info like the tires at LMAX have to be changed every 2 shows, every single plant in animal kingdom was transplanted an put there, and that Soarin' almost didn't happen. Seeing Joe Rhode talk about AK and EE was very cool too. Seeing this show just makes me want to be an Imagineer even more!

Ack! I missed it and forgot to DVR it! It sounds like it's the type of show I'd enjoy too, just like all episodes of Modern Marvels. I'm ordering the DVD from History Channel, but it won't ship until Feb. 28 - AHHHH!

I thought this show was fantastic. It was filled with a lot of little info that I didn't know and now that I did I am glad I found out. Excellent show and I'm seriously thinking about purchasing this one from the History Channel.
