WDW Misinformation

Well,if you have a hopper you can take the bus to Epcot (20-30 min likely) and then walk out the back to the International Gateway (10 min). Walk to the Boardwalk (10 min.)
So maybe 50 min. from boarding the bus to arriving at the Boardwalk.

OR take the bus from AoA to DHS (20-30 min) and take the Friendship boat to the BW/YC/BC area (15 min) or walk the path from DHS to the BW area (15 min.) Still less than an hour!

Good luck whatever you do!

Yeah, we got a hopper.
I'm just nervous about the travel time from the airport to the resort. BUT if everything is timed right we should be able to see some of Epcot and catch Illuminations.

On Wed 2/26 we arrived at Orlando on an evening flight, and hustled to Magical Express. We got right on a bus and thought we were going to be at the Boardwalk in no time. Being late in the evening, and with few guests arriving, the bus sat there until it was about half full - about 30 minutes. Then the 35-minute drive to WDW, plus another 10-15 min if you're the last stop.

It took us almost 90 minutes to get from the DME queue in the airport to the check-in desk at Boardwalk, so be prepared.

Yes, DME rides are unpredictable. Usually I arrive at the DME waiting area, wait 15 min., get on a bus, drive for about 35 min to WDW entrance, another 10-15 min or so to make the stops (luckily I've never been the last stop). Last trip we got from the airport to ASMu in less than an hour. I have heard of it taking longer based on how many different resorts and which order.

I refuse to use TA as a source of reviews, because the only people who ever post on there are saying something negative....and there's no way to correct them when they spew forth ignorance, which is what most of them do.
I really like TA, except for anything Disney related. They few Disney reviews I have read have been so ignorant and filled with misinformation. I no longer read anything Disney related on TA, but it's really good for everything else. I've posted positive reviews on there from other destinations I've been to.

So how long do you thing it world takeot get from AoA to Boardwalk area in July?
If you take the bus to DHS, then the launch to Boardwalk, it should only take about 45 minutes. That is, of course, if you don't have to wait a long time for a bus or the launch. We lucked up and got to DHS just as the launch got there. Otherwise, it would have been another 15 minutes. You could also go to DTD, and transfer there, but all three times we've stayed at AoA, the buses to DTD took forever to come because they also stop at a waterpark. We waited 40 minutes one time for the DTD bus to come the week after Easter last year, then we had to wait another 10 for a wheelchair to be loaded. I would go to DHS and catch the launch.

I think that is so true with many things. Not only hotel reviews but appliances, cars, restaurants, electronics, etc,,. I don't like when the reviews cannot be verified. At times I think did both of these people who wrote separate reviews stay at the same hotel or buy the same product? Sometimes I look at them but I have come to the conclusion that as humans we will post the negative but not post a review about the positive. And that I am guilty of.

"TA" stands for "Trip Advisor", yes? I wrote a few nice reviews for Disney restaurants I had pleasant experiences at.

E="CheshireCat12, post: 5977766, member: 88333"]Honestly I've gone in the busy summer and never took more than an hour to get anywhere. Two hours is really pushing it even with transfers to another bus/mode of transport.[/QUOTE]
This has been our experience. We are always here during peak times. Never spent more than an hour getting anywhere on Disney property using the transportation

Oh my reviews for our coming visit will be based on what I experience and be balanced and fair, a bit like the Papal Knights News network in the US. So expect glowing reviews for Uni Sea World and Discovery Cove and confirmation that Disney is Pooh unless you are an 8 year old girl.

So, I found (in another thread - you know the one) a link to TripAdvisor and started browsing the "terrible" reviews. The misinformation there is appalling! For example:

Um... I stayed on property during my last trip and I'm pretty sure all of these applied to me. Except the last one. That could easily be solved by going on the website and making FP+ reservations!

So what Disney misinformation have you seen around?
I guess the cabs out front of everywhere just love to sit there. When im in a hurry, there is always a bunch waiting. It costs under 10 bucks to run across property and your at the destination in 10 mins. Was I supposed to complain about slow transportation here?

I always forget to review one way or the other. I've bought things that have had awful reviews and they work for me just fine.
The thing that makes me nervous about ADR's is that there are sooooo many opportunities for things to go wrong. Plane could be delayed, car crash, bus could break down.

Honestly- I have never had a "bad" experience at WDW. I guess I'm lucky. I mean, we didn't exactly get the room we wanted when we stayed at the POLY, but honestly it was no big deal ( we requested a certain longhouse). They gave us very special wedding anniversary leis, and did a "quick" ceremony upon check-in.:joyfull: The buses at Caribbean Beach Resort went "around" my Mom in a scooter, but the CM in charge caught it right away, and apologized ( we waited about 30 minutes). We never complain about much of anything. We only "thank" those hard working CM's out there.:) Perhaps being more grateful for a WDW vacation rather than being so ungrateful will make everyone's WDW experience better!;) I know when I go to WDW that waiting for anything will be part of my experience!:D

I am the same way and consider many supposed reviews on TA to be a joke. Many of the Disney haters make me wonder if other park chains are behind the "reviews" as an agenda. To say Mk is overrated? Care to try again? You do not get to top of the theme park food chain by producing overrated material. I will not pont fingers at which Wizarding World of misinformation is behind some of these reviews, but most of us here can get the picture.;)

A woman that my husband works with had gone to the parks within the last month and she told me that if you ask your hotel at check-in about "fast track" they can upgrade your ride to a faster version. I am assuming it was test track she was talking about. I waited to laugh until I wasn't where she could see me.
