Does anyone know how much the managers at WDW get paid approximately??
I am talking about the managers that walk around the parks in business casual with their litter picker and their radio.

LOL i love the way you describe them because that is exactly what they do. I would suspect they make between 50,000 and 70,000+ depending on year's with the company.

Speakings of managers... The dude in charge of Adventureland is terrible. He's the kinda guy that told us DCP students: "If a guest doesn't have a FastPass for Jungle Cruise or Pirates during a really busy time, just let them go in. I care more about our area's ratings than completely abiding by the strict rules."

Not exactly that wording. But basically Adventureland's #1 priority was keeping a good guest satisfaction rating. Which meant long fastpass lines, which ironically backed up standby lines. Oof. (This guy used to be a manager of something at Disney Springs)

Lordy. What a mess it was.

I was instructed by my Pirates trainer to repeatedly tap the FP+ screen on the section that allows entry. Unless they repaired it since last year, you can see how terribly cracked & beat up the screen was on the "allow entry" side of the screen.

We were only instructed to not allow HUGE groups without Fastpasses in.

That’s a common attitude among managers. I worked for a tourist railroad as a ticket agent and conductor for over 10 years, the President when I was hired wanted me to check ID’s for member / season pass holders and enforce that everyone’s name was on the membership. Basically police the members.

The new president got upset with me for doing that and said he doesn’t care what the members do because he wants them to be happy and renew next year.

I can see both points of view.... the manager of Adventureland probably knows the less complaints he gets from his area the better he looks.

But it doesn't work when the people in standby see a ridiculous amount of people getting let through on the FP+ queue.

Luckily, Pirates had two sides. So I would just send the FP+ people to the right, which was a few feet longer line, and keep the standby people to left, which looks very close. Keeps everyone happy.

They make below industry standards in most business units. Though it’s hard to equate that 1:1 with any other theme park.

Not to change the subject but I just read the IGOR made around 42 million a year. Plus bonuses.
