I remember some office peers that used to surf the internet looking at unrelated matters instead of actually working during the day hiding in their office cubicles pre iPhone times. Now they can do it anyplace anytime. Would not surprise me if he did it while working at Disney.

Oh, definitely. There are always folks wasting time online while at work. There are a lot of steps between surfing the Internet and what this guy did, though. Regardless, if he's on his phone (not a work computer), then they're still not going to know.

Who is "they" in your question? If it's Disney, well, it's something he's doing on his own time so there would be no reason for them to know. If it's law enforcement, I think that's a much more complicated question. Terrible.

There is. It's called the sex offender registry. However, someone need to be caught first to be on it.

I think law enforcement does their best to find offenders but they aren't allowed to just monitor internet activity.

But if they can attach the name Disney or other trigger words, something that wouldn’t have been reported becomes local-National news.
