tips.... ummm... GO FOR IT! :) If you really want encuragement to go, check out this website: http://www.wdwip.com/ and I'm sure talking to the alumni of the IP there (and the few on this message board) will give you all the tips you need.

As for tips from me, just be yourself while applying. No need to be someone else or to over do anything.

I have been devouring www.wdwip.com for days :) I'm on the forum there also, everyone who has done the program just loves it to bits! I just sent my application in today, I really can't wait, I am quickly becoming OBSESSED with checking my email every 5 seconds in case they email me back about my resume! LOL
I will be deon Travel School in December, so I'm in the "field" I am also a professionaly trained jazz/broadway singer, and 10 yrs ballet, 2 yrs polynesian dancer, I should think I a what they're looking for. But you really never know...all I can do is be me :)

No, you don't have to be in the 'field' as Tessa stated. However, it may give you a helping hand if you have travel/hospitality etc experience but so could having experience with kids, for example. It just depends how they see it.

As far as I am aware these are the only qualifications required:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have good conversational English
  • Be willing to share living quarters with other participants
  • Be outgoing, enthusiastic, and flexible
Hope that helps!!

I did the international Program for a year (2001-2002) I worked in the Rose and Crown in the UK Pavillion, World Showcase.

I had the best year of my life there and not a day goes by when I dont think back to my time there and smile! The memories I have are fantastic!

So I would definateley urge anyone who is thinking about applying for the program to just go for it!

Some advice for the interview, be smiley and confident. Demonstrate your love of Disney, which I'm sure wont be hard for you! And be ready to talk about your country.

I wish anyone who has an interview the very best of luck. You will have a blast!
I just wish I could do it all over again myself!
