WDW in Early November...

I'm going to Disney the day after Halloween, short and sweet trip from 11-1-16 thru 11-4-16. Has anyone else been this early in November and how were the crowds? What about the weather? I hear it's pretty nice in Orlando in November.

We live here so we go weekly, therefore, yes, we have been on and right after Halloween many times. You heard correctly...it is a beautiful time of year here if you like the temperature between 75 and 85 degrees. We used to live in the Northeast and we don't miss that cold at all!. If you're looking for that crisp cool fall weather, you probably won't get it. That's also during the Food & Wine Festival which most like and they often have great bands at Epcot. Check on the Disney World website to see this years line-up to see if there is anybody you will like. Crowds...these days they are always bad. There seems to be no slow time of year anymore but at that time of year, you probably won't be disappointed.

Both weather and crowds should be nice. We've gone in early Nov and enjoyed it. The Fall decorations are still up, although the Christmas ones will be going up that week for the Christmas parties that start the following week. Not a bad thing, if you don't mind the mix since they cannot change out the decorations overnight at every park and resort.

The highs should be in the upper 70s/low 80s and can get cool at night in the 60s or so. We always take a jacket for the evening, particularly at Epcot, and rain was not a big problem the times we went. But, you might want to toss a cheap poncho in your backpack.

We visited 10/30-11/6 in 2014 and enjoyed it. While the rather was sunny and dry, it was a bit too chilly for us with the wind but I believe that was a fluke and not typical. The crowds were very manageable from what I remember and it was nice to see both Halloween decorations and Christmas!

Tagging along, we're going 11/6-11/12. I hate heat and overcrowd so we pick this week

Just to make you aware, I was there during a similar time last year (5th to 19th November) and it was unusually hot according to various CM's I spoke to. I'd never been in November before but we had temperatures of around 36°C/97°F during our first 10 days out there and it only started to cool a little just as we were getting ready to fly home. One night Hollywood Studios had late EMH, and we were stood outside in the queue for RnRC at 10:30pm sweating from the heat and humidity. Unexpected.

Our November trip was pleasant, the weather was cool enough that we didnt go in the pools but did a lot of soaking in the hot tubs. The CM's were wearing jackets, you could tell they were too acclimated to the hotter temps. Crowds were light enough that there were no really extended waits.

I've been then. I remember the weather was great and crowds were as well. But you're going during a decoration change so there's construction to switch from Halloween to Christmas. Not sure when the F&W festival ends, but it's a plus if you can catch the end of that.

Early to mid-November is a great time to go. Peak hurricane season is over, crowds are usually (but not always) a little down as not as many families travel due to the holiday season (breaks) being right around the corner, and the temperatures are much more reasonable. In mid-November, you get to see the parks decked out for the holidays. It is a little odd experiencing the Christmas season to such a strong degree that early in the year but still neat nonetheless.

I have heard there is a small uptick in crowds on Veteran's Day weekend. And like any time of the year, any park that has EMH that day will be busier than usual, especially if it is a Saturday or a Sunday.

The wife and I were there November 14 - 21 last year. The first 4 days were absolutely perfect in terms of weather. I don't think it rained until our 5th day, which was our SeaWorld day. It was one of those typical all afternoon Florida downpours. Day 6 saw some late afternoon/early evening rain but it let it in time for viewing of IllumiNations. Day 7 at Animal Kingdom was perfect. Day 8 at Magic Kingdom was probably the worst and even then it really didn't start opening up until right before MSEP kicked off. Some poor college marching band was and just made there way around the hub when it just started coming down Old Testament style. The parade was cancelled and the wife and I eventually made our way over to CoP to escape the deluge. Fortunately, the later performance of Wishes! was able to go on as scheduled.

Been there before during that time and going again 10/29-11/4. Weather is a lot more comfortable. You also have the F&W Festival too.

When do you think the Animal Kingdom hours will be updated for November?! I keep refreshing everyday like a mad woman.

For Animal Kingdom after dark do you mean? If so we were just there over memorial day weekend for it and it was amazing! I like the park after dark SO much better. I too hope they extend the hours for November, but was thinking maybe the after hours will only happen during peak season times.
