Great pics, we did a similar flight over WDW in January too in a Cessna 172 from Sunstate at Kissimmee, its great looking at WDW from this perspective!

Our pics are here! We have aerials of Disneyland Paris here.

Awesome! What kind of aircraft where you flying? I'll pay for fuel!

It was a Cessna 172SP, renting the aircraft fuel is actually free. It's the rental rate that kills ya.

Thank you for the pics! I did not realize how close World Showcase was to the resort (is that BW?). I may have to saunder that way when we go down in October. Thanks again!

PS - we are a military family and my brother is Airforce. Thanks for serving our country.

Yes, the resorts by the WS are the BW, Y&BC, and S&D. They are all a very short walk from WS. Your brother definitely picked the right branch!:D

I took the liberty of 'removing' said haze from a few of the pics. I hope you don't mind.

Don't mind at all.

Can I go with you next time? :lookaroun

Sure! I just have to get some more money first, renting that airplane isn't cheap. :(

Glad you all enjoy the pics!

Thats AMAZING! That you sooo much for sharing! The one that is directly over Cindy's Castle, took my breath away! I had no idea you could fly right over the MK! That was sooo cool!

I am no pilot or ATC, but I would have always thought that the airspace over WDW is restricted, is that not the case? Or do you have special permissions being military? Non-the-less, great pictures.

These pictures are great, thanks for taking the time to post them. The perspective from 3000 ft. is cool, not to mention the virtual trip to WDW that they provide!

I'm both - a pilot and an ATCO in the UK! The airspace is restricted up to 3000ft above ground level. Above that level you are good to overfly WDW property. Below 3000ft you need to speak to Orlando McCoy who will give you clearance through the airspace once identified by them.

The rate is GREAT in the USA - hiring an equivalent aircraft over here in the UK will cost you in the region of $300!!! I paid Sunstate about $130 for N6869T, is that the one you flew perchance? Great aircraft!

Technically, WDW has a TFR(Temporary Flight Restriction) up to 3,000 feet over top of it. What this means, is you have to stay above 3,000 feet if you want to fly wherever you want over WDW. Now, I could have flown at around 1500 feet, but I would have been at the mercy of ATC, and I wanted to fly wherever I wanted to get some good pictures. So, to answer your question WDW is not a "restricted airspace" by definition, you just can't go wherever you want under 3,000 feet.

I fly out of an FBO over here in Daytona. But wow, $300!! I couldn't imagine paying that. The aircraft I fly runs about $102/hour, so its not too bad, but still not cheap.
