Yikes! Every one of these is on my list to ride every time, and with an FP+. I cannot decide!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I had to think about which of these I would absolutely choose to ride, even if I couldn't get a Fastpass and had to wait for an hour or more.

EE, ToT, SsM. The three I had to leave behind were very difficult to abandon but my decision was based on which ones are must do's on a trip, which delivered me the most pleasure and which I could miss if need be.

Wow: Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Flight of Passage, and Tower of Terror really *are* probably the four best rides at WDW (barring RotR, which too many people hadn't yet experienced).

Sentimentally, I'm salty that Spaceship Earth (and Space Mountain for that matter) got blown away in earlier rounds, but overall this has me more impressed with the "wisdom of crowds" than I would have anticipated. And I enjoyed the near-"Cinderella story" of underdog Peoplemover almost advancing.

That said, I don't think Big Thunder or Everrated Overest deserve their spots here, and they're similar enough to cancel each other out: moderately thrilling coasters through masterful fake rockwork, with limited, disappointing use of animatronics and other story elements. Maybe if the Yeti were working...maybe. Still, it's basically a more up-to-date but less fun Matterhorn, distinguished mostly by its really elaborate queue (which most people will FP right past anyway).

Don't want Everest but like people mover as underdog and the boring HM... Interesting

Well, sure, the Peoplemover doesn't belong in the top 6 rides at WDW. But it's a cult favorite for a reason: such a good way of experiencing the whole Tomorrowland/MK environment itself, especially after dark (not to mention avoiding an hourlong wait).

On the other hand, I'm not completely sure that Everest makes the top 3 winners' podium at Animal Kingdom. FoP, Safaris...even Dinosaur is arguably better as a ride, if you factor out the queue/pre-show aspect and avoid unflattering comparisons to Indiana Jones. I'll grant that EE beats out Na'vi River Journey; I would be tempted to play devil's advocate with that match-up too (an animatronic that not only works, but is the best ever built), but the other scenes are a bit underdone, plus I guess we've established you're not a fan of slow rides!

I know you did initially say you liked Haunted Mansion, but I'm struggling to imagine why anyone who finds that ride "boring" would bother with Disney parks at all. It perfectly encapsulates everything that sets them apart from other forms of entertainment. There are better amusement parks out there (Cedar Point, Six Flags) if the main priority is simply to get tossed around and say wheeeee :)

Dino is not even a debate as a better ride as most of the people here would love to see it gone. Na’vi River sucks. So I’m not sure we have anything in common. Wouldn’t even do it with a FP

I’m not sure why you find the HM that exciting. It’s classic and fine.

After following these polls, it seems like people have their own algorithm that weighs nostalgia, thrill, and other factors. Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Peoplemover aren't as thrilling, but high on nostalgia. Space Mountain mixes thrill and nostalgia, but needs some TLC. Expedition Everest and Rockin Roller Coaster are more thrilling, but have less nostalgia. Everyone weighs them differently.

Official Results - Round #5 - Group #19

1584986438380.png

- Finally, Top 4 will qualify for next round.
Positions 2 to 4 were too tight to make the call now.
- Flight of Passage managed to seperate a tad and finished first.
- After that, it's a virtual tie between Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror and Splash.

Expect Round #6 soon where we will try to get a Top 2 out of these 4.

Thanks again for voting!

Correct me if I'm wrong, not that it matters as it wouldn't have made it this far anyways... But I never saw Country Bear Jamboree.

You're not wrong. There were some nostalgic favorites that we had to cut when we were setting the field, like:
Tom Sawyer Island
County Bear Jamboree
Swiss Family Treehouse
American Adventure
Epcot movies

All attractions that I personally enjoy, but we had to draw the line somewhere if this thing was ever going to actually make it to the end. Given how well the more nostalgic attractions did in the polling, we might have made different decisions when filling out the field were we doing it today.
