I might occasionaly get asked about my Disney arms but living on an Island about half the size of WDW it kinda limits the options of meeting new Disney friends. well they either ask about them or look in horror as i am a tattoo'ed thug .DW gets the same reaction of hers and they are a lot more colorfull and pretty than mine.

Let's just say I am NOT surrounded by Disney lovers. So much so that I fear I've become a closet WDW fan. We had new neighbors move in next door a few years ago and I enthusiastically told them that we were heading back down for our yearly trip to WDW. I'm sure lepers and ex-cons have been looked at with less repugnance than I got from them that day and have been treated the same ever since. I would love to meet more "like-minded" people but I obviously live in the wrong circles....LOL.
That's how my co-workers responded when I was counting down to yet another Disney vacation- I don't work there anymore :D

Since this fall will be my first trip to WDW since 2000, I'm a little worried we might get a weird response from some people when they find out we're going. The thing is, we would surely be going to Europe instead if transatlantic flights weren't so crazily expensive as they've been for so long now. I priced flights to Europe for the same dates, and the amount we're spending on the whole WDW vacation would JUST cover flying to Europe.

The funny thing is, no one would get a weird response if they simply told people they were going to the Bahamas, or some beach hotel in Miami or something.

But I don't really care.

I saw this on a car in front of me on the way home the other day. I don't want to look like some crazy person and get shot, so I just smiled to myself. But maybe I'll find a good sticker to place on my vehicle and maybe others will wave and honk at me.

I admire the time you spent to respond to posts! Thank you! My Aunt does gold-bind books for Disney, which are just cute simple childerens book. She has also written a book called, Boy of Heart Mountian. A small Career but she also did a few other small things with Disney here and there. But yea, thanks for asking. :)

It's good practice for trip reports ;) Still very cool that she's gotten to do some work for them.

I find that the snarky attitudes about going to Disney don't surface (or not as much) unless you're going at least once a year. At that point, I think people feel like the reply of "again?!?!?" is somehow justified. Of course, I could probably wait 10 years between trips and have certain people say "but didn't you already take your family?" Oh well- not worth getting bothered about it.

That's very similar to the ones in the collection this one girl I often pass in traffic has on her car. There are all kinds of things that you can put on your vehicle though. I keep debating about adding one of these too my vehicle...

But part of me feel like it would be overkill and part of me is in a "I don't want a decal" kind of place. Although, I wouldn't mind a WDW version of this DL frame...

still, with the number of people who carry guns in their vehicles here...I'm afraid to do much more than smile and nod as I drive by...if I happen to spot someone with Disney stuff on their ride.

I can always tell a Disney fan by their reaction to my license plate. It says "N B3Y0ND" - I drive an infiniti. Disney fans get it and usually give me some props or a nod or something.

Ok, now that is just AWESOME!!! I never even thought of doing that, but you're sooooo right! If I saw it in traffic, I'd totally put it together and have that A-HA! Disney moment.
