WDW cutting down on AC?

Back in the 80s the a/c worked pretty good and I loved the cold air from being out in the heat I haven't been to disney world in 16 years I go next month I hope places are still cold

Less A/C/warmer attractions/gift shops has been a constant refrain for a long time. Though I do remember, the change was quite sudden around 2015-2016, which is probably what prompted this particular thread.

Just got back from Disneyland and let me tell you they DO NOT skimp on the AC there, it was such a difference from WDW
My cousin does HVAC down in SC.

The heat is HARD on those systems. Most of the units they have on houses just can't get the temperature down to what you'd have further north (or in SoCal when it gets cooler at night and you get a break). It's honestly amazing Disney is able to keep it as cool as they do because of the heat. Their houses are usually at 75 during the day because that's where their AC can get them. He has told me before that they just physically cannot get their air as cool, even with industrial systems like at WDW.

So yeah, it's definitely going to be different in DL where the heat isn't so oppressive. Not to mention the humidity.

Josh let’s bring back the AC at Disney! Maybe less mold will form on the ceilings of rides as well (buzz and living with the land)
Buzz just got renovated, so hopefully they fixed that. Frozen fixed the mold issue when it went from Maelstrom.

Living with the Land is a greenhouse...they gotta have it moist, hence mold is gonna exist.

That being said, I have a severe mold allergy, like to the point where I can walk into a house and tell you when there's mold. Those two aren't nearly as bad as Maelstrom was.

Same in NE Florida, although it is harder to get the upstairs as cool as the downstairs. This is with 2 heat pumps. It was a lot easier before a hurricane knocked down one huge tree at the property line, then the city cut down the one in front of our house.
