hi all.. I was wondering if its too early to call about some discount coupons for next March April or May booking at WDW . Usually we would book 6 months in advance. and that time frame would be October. which isn't that far down the road.. Ju's ask'n kids.. thanks for your good advice in the past..

yes but we are leaning toward May at this time.. but thank you for the advise.. I really do appreciate it. .

That's why you need to keep watching. Make it a habit to visit the WDW website once every day or two and click the "Special Offers" link at the bottom of the page. We've visited in early-mid-May twice now and there was always a discount offer that ended up applying to our dates.

There's no reason you can't book your trip now -- if a discount comes out later, you can modify your reservation (or call and have WDW do it) to apply the discount to your existing reservation. If no discounts come out and you decide to cancel your trip, you have until 30-45 days (something like that; cancellation windows vary depending on whether you booked a package, etc.) before arrival to cancel it, without penalty.

Packages require a $200 deposit (plus insurance, if you buy it), and final deposit due 30 days before arrival. You would need to cancel before that 30 days to get your deposit back. (it changed from 45 days a year or two ago)

Room Only bookings require a deposit of one night's room stay with tax, with the balance due upon arrival, however, you need to cancel 5 or 6 days before arrival in order to keep your deposit.

I think you would have better luck scoring a discount directly through WDW's website then pinning your hopes on receiving a PIN code. The fact that you and your 'kid" both received one in the past is like hoping you'll win the lottery twice. If you guys are serious about wanting to go in May, I'd book with a Disney-authorized (earmarked) travel agent who will keep an eye out for those discounts as they become available (they are of no extra cost to you). It'd be really terrible if you missed out waiting for some "coupon" that's likely to never show up.

I received a pin code yesterday for this summer, its the same "deal" as their normal summer discounts I get from the Disney site every year. And that discount is due to release at the end of the month.I wouldn't fret not getting one because they are usually about the same as the normal offers on their website out or not as good in some cases. Just my experience with them over the past several years. So why call off a fantastic trip over a randomly sent pin code when a good deal is easy to book online in a week or so?

still no pin code. .or discount.. .and in fact haven't received any thing from disney at all .

Why should you have received anything? As those who replied to your post have gently informed you, the discounts are posted on Disney's website for anyone and everyone. The latest round of discounts (extending all the way through June) just came out, and have been wisely publicized on Disney's official website and elsewhere. In the time it took you to post this, you could have booked a discounted vacation already -- or called a TA who would do it for you, for free.

OP, if this trip is something you really want, then heed the advice given. Otherwise you will be waiting a looooooong time, likely until the 5th of never, for that dang PIN! I say this with no harshness...wait too long and there may be nothing left that you want.

Now I'm confused. Why would you expect them to "find you" on their systems? The database of people who have stayed at WDW must run into the hundreds of thousands, depending on how long they keep records for (no idea what your data protection laws are like).

I still don't understand why you think Disney need to contact you with an offer. They have more than enough people booking as it is. The chances of anyone receiving a pin code are small. Especially since now they do Bounce back offers year round. Some people get extra lucky, that's all, probably a random sample of a specific sub-group of recent guests, whoever they want to target. For whatever reason, you seem not to be in that group.

when you call or set up your magical experience.. you have a file.. and trust me.. Disney tracks you. .they track you like no other business I have known except airlines.. but I had a previous email and was changing it.. and they had this previous file on me.. ( I have been coming since the year the place opened) and they have a file on my whole family.. previous addresses and what not. .I have been trying to get them to just send me an email. .any email.. Tell me that you see me.. something.. but I have yet to get anything.. including thanks for thinking about coming..
so I am trying to get my self current with the Walt Disney World emails..

Hmmm, I don't think Disney emails me at all, and we cruise/visit WDW annually. We get fliers in the mail announcing whatever their current sale their running is...but no pin. Anyone else get email from the mouse? I don't even get my Castaway newsletter emailed--we have to log on to the Castaway club to access it. OP, I can definitely see updating your address/contact info with them, but I'm still quite dumbfounded that if you're going to the trouble of contacting them, why you don't just book one of their specials?
