Due to the activities in NYC and Washington.. as a percautionary measure local orlando news is reporting ALL 4 parks are closed at WDW.

The World Trade Center is GONE!!!!!!! The Pentagon was hit too.

Disney closes Orlando parks because of U.S. attacks

MIAMI, Florida (Reuters) -- Walt Disney Co. on Tuesday closed its theme parks and most other facilities in the Orlando area of Florida because of the attacks on U.S. targets in New York and Washington.
"In an abundance of caution, Walt Disney World resort has made the decision to close its theme parks, water parks, shopping, entertainment and recreation complexes," a Disney statement said.
Resort hotels would remain open, it said.
"In response to today's events in Washington, D.C., New York City and elsewhere, Walt Disney World is immediately taking steps to heighten security throughout its property," it said.
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are among the Disney attractions that bring millions of tourists to central Florida each year.

i was in english class at the time of the attacks. Rumors were going around my high school like mad saying that the white house was gone and stuff like that. They said the world trades center was gone but i didn't believe them. I still don't believe this is happening. i got home from school today at 2:30 est and i haven't shut it off yet, now 9:00(Bush is on). The pictures they show in NYC on tv looks like a war zone. United we stand. God Bless America.

Disneyland closed as well before the regular public was allowed into the park this morning accourding to the L.A. Times.

two years ago......
Let me remind you that exactly two years ago, on September 15th 1999, WDW closed for the first time, due to Hurricane Floyd. That was another "I was there" for me....! It was kinda scary seeing the parks evacuated and the CM´s keeping everything in order outside... Thank God, nothing happened and the hurricane turned out to be just rain and rain and rain, and not even very heavy if you ask me... but better safe than sorry!

Just wanted to remind everyone of the amazing horrors that took place six years ago today. I found this thread that I had not seen before.
In fact, looking for "how it all affected WDW" was exactly how I found WDW Magic forums six years ago this week! You can see my join date was September 2001. It was an awful, and eye-opening time for everyone; but I just taken one day that week to check on how they treated in at the parks. And along the way I found a wonderful community of friends here!
As for WDW on September 11, was anyone at the parks on that day, or working?
Anyhow, there is a chit-chat area thread that is especially chilling, even more than this one. I think it is the "other thread" that The Mom mentions above...
