Hey,
I was just wondering if any of you had reccomendations for really good books about WDW. I'm not looking for trip planning books or anything. I'm looking for books about behind the scenes type things. Any reccomendation would be appreciated.

"Walt Disney Imagineering: A Behind the Dreams Look at Making the Magic Real"

is an excellent book.... it costs $35 paperback (its a coffee table book), but is well worth it. You can find it at the Contemporary , MGM Studios book / coffee shop (near Muppet Vision), at the Downtown Disney book store, and other places

Walt Disney's EPCOT: Creating the New World of Tomorrow, Abrams 1982, is easily one of my favorite books ever. It's a HUGE (240 oversized pages) hardcover with all sorts of great facts and pictures. It was made before the park actually opened so it is all concept art, models, and construction photos. Great things like Kitchen Kabaret getting painted, Spaceship Earth without the outer skin, and scale models of the entire park complete with oh-so-adorable monorails.

I've never seen this in stores or eBay but every library I've been to seems to have it. My copy is from the library on indefinate renewal. Ah, the joys of having a librarian girlfriend.

Thanks for the tip, i just ordered that one from amazon.com's z-shops for $12.50 Link

If anyone else wants to snag a copy of this book from amazon (though the rest of them aren't as cheap) search amazon.

I agree about it being a good book, but I wish they had had more pictures of when Disney was being built. I always enjoy lookging at how things are developed.

I enjoyed "The Unofficial Disney Companion" by Eve Zibart. It's published by Macmillan Travel, and a companion book to the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.":o
