I'm curious about WDW's attraction advertisements. While watching television I've seen the Tower of Terror 4 commercial a few times and the Test Track commercial even more often. Why is it that they have chosen to advertise these two attractions in particular via television? And do people other than "us" really know what in the world the Tower of Terror "4" is? Are these commercials being aired nationally or just regionally?
It seems to me that if WDW was going to advertise an attracion, the RockNRoller Coaster would be at the top of the list, particularly in the coaster-competitive market. Isn't Test Track kinda "old" to be getting prime time ad spots? I hope that Mission:Space ads aren't as delayed as the Test Track ones seem to be.
Speaking of advertising attractions, why isn't WDW doing a broader television ad spot - meaning - a collage of attractions, parks, resorts, etc. instead of focusing on just one ride? Universal's ads often featured quick segments from multiple attractions. When I see an ad for the Tower of Terror 4 or Test Track, I ask myself, what's going to bring me into WDW more, one attraction, or a bunch of A-list (E-ticket) attractions?
I guess I would just like to see a commercial that features more than just one attraction.
