WDW at sunrise (or your favorite time of day)

I love Disney World very early in the morning like 6:30 or 7:00 AM. Its so wonderful to just walk arround your particular resort while the world wakes up, watching the little kids all full of energy pulling Mom and Dad to breakfast. The whoosh of the first monorails of the day. The orangeish tint that rises over the world, slowly turning that to the bright white florida sun. I got to enter MK early one morning before the gates opened, and just walking up main street, still wet from its cleaning was the most incredibly serene experience. Anyone else enjoy strolling WDW in the morning? or do you have a particular time of day you enjoy most?

Night-time...we were some of the last out of MGM one night after Fantasmic. The hat had just been completed and had been lit up for like a week. The whole crowd was gone, but we were just sitting under the hat enjoying the lights and quietness after it all settled down.

Rare peaceful moments like that are truly special.

WDW sunrises/sunsets are best when you have a lagoon view from the Poly or the Grand Floridian.

I have to agree with the sunrise, or very early in the morning. It is so beautiful and so peaceful. It feels great to walk around the resort and grab a cup of coffee and prepare for the best time of your life.

At night, all over the park, but especially in epcot after illuminations walking slowly around WS, it gets empty no one is in or around the pavilions, with the music going, it's like you own private trip around the world at night with a sound track, it's the best

I agree, but I have to add, VERY early in the morning, before guests, when the streets are still wet from 3rd shift.

I always loved getting up early when we stayed at Port Orleans, and walking the grounds with a cup of coffee...very peaceful, but with that edge of anticipation of the day ahead!

Staying in the Magic Kingdom after the park has officially closed, and watching the lights illuminate the castle, is even better. Wish I could keep that feeling all year long.

I totally agree with you, just sitting watching all the different colored lights on the castle is incredible!! Words just can't express the way I feel watching that.

I love when the sun is starting to go down.... the best view of this is on the top of Splash Mountain! The view of MK is gorgeous at that time!!!!!!!

I love at night at the beach of the Polynesian looking across the water and seeing the Magic Kingdom lit up and the castle changing colors. It is just a very peaceful feeling I get whenever I do it.

I loved going to MK early (ok, I kind of cheated) and walking around with no one there but cast members.

I also loved going around WS at night after it was closed. I'd stop by and say hi to all the people stuck cleaning that night instead of me.

I think walking the Polynesian grounds late at night is great too, with the lagoon over your shoulder and the lights at MK still glowing is awesome, memories of a great day still fresh in your mind, and feeling full of promise for tomorrow. I still gotta say morning at Poly' (watching the ferry begin its first trips to MK) or Riverside (just sitting in the benches overlooking the creek near the bridge) is my favorite though.

any part of the day when it rains. I love puddle jumping, and no matter what, I will be dry once the sun comes out! and, everyone scatters when it rains, so the lines get really short!!

Favorite time of day

I'd have to agree that the early mornings are a good time to walk around when everyone else is waking up; however, I really enjoy walking around at dusk when all the lights are coming on. It's a tie...they are both favorites of mine. What could be better than reliving the magic every morning and night!

When the lights are on on Main Street and the Castle is lite up in different colors. On my last trip my boyfriend and I rode the train right before the start of the second SpectroMagic. That was really cool.

Night time all the way! i love it in the parks at night! there's just something about the lights that truely bring out the magic of Disney! but i have to agree, i also love the feeling of Disney first thing in the morning...nothing can beat the mix of anticipation and the smell of fresh sunscreen!

I can't decide?!?!? But I do know is that it's Epcot for me. I've worked a marathon at 5-6am in the park and the lagoon in World showcase had an early morning 'steam' coming out of it (plus a great sunrise). It looked really cool and it made the place seem even more serene. Epcot at night is just as cool. As dliddi said, walking around world showcase when it's all nice and quiet is very nice. It seems like the entire place is all yours.

I really enjoy it at park closing, after the mad rush of people goes by and there are just a few straglers left behind. It doesn't really matter to me what time the park closes, because it isn't the nighttime that does it for me. It is instead the peaceful feeling of satisfaction that I had the most wonderful day. I like to watch the sleeping kids with Mickey ears being carried out. The baloons tied to the strollers of sleeping babies who still have chocolate all over their faces from the Mickey bars. I like the smell of evening. And I like knowing that no where else on earth was there as fun and magic going on as where I was that day (except maybe Disneyland in CA).

My brother and I are early risers. I just love sitting on our lanai watching the birds at the Poly. People walking by, everyone smiling, waving to each other. It's very peaceful in the morning at the Poly. It's fun listening as people in the nearby rooms wake up and plan their days as we plan ours.
