I've only been to MK on the 4th of July. It poured in the morning that day, but the crowds were still outrageous. Would not go back to MK on the 4th. Epcot might be different?

I was in WDW last week and really only noticed the smoke one day during our week vacation. The smoke wasn't terrible at all on property. It was hazy and smelled like a campfire one morning then tapered off. I heard it gets pretty bad on the Interstates though - making driving very difficult.

The parks will be PACKED on July 4th. They may institute some level of park closure. People will be squatting on grassy areas and anywhere else there's a clear space. It's AMAZING the number of people they can fit in those parks.

Have fun, though, the fireworks are awesome!!

I'm planning on hitting MK on the 4th for the fireworks. Will it likely reach capacity? And would the crowds be better on the 3rd's July 4th fireworks?

I'm not sure if it reaches capacity exactly, but there is likely some level of closure put in to effect. I had friends that went for the Epcot fireworks shortly before they started & had to go to MGM instead because there were just TOO MANY PEOPLE. Not sure if they were actually turned away at the gate, but yikes! My advice is to get there early & stay there, because later you might not be able to get in :) Not trying to alarm you, but be prepared! Have fun!!

It will be very busy at MKlike everyone says.

Epcot will also be busy.

Smoke is not that bad we have been getting some rain so if that keeps up it will not be an issue. It has not been that bad anyway.

July 4th is a Wednesday. That should keep the crowds down a little, but it will still be busy. Good chance that the crowds will swell the most just after locals get off of work.
