WDW after close

Anyway, I can vouch for people that it is truly beautiful hanging around there when no one is there. I did this as a normal guest in 2009. What happened was that my wife and I - who were childless at this time - got a couple of mickey ears for our niece and nephew. We did this at the end of the night and it took a lot longer for them to embroider the names on the back than we thought. There was also other people doing this as well. So I waited while my wife was inside at one of the gift shops on Main Street. Anyway, I walked out onto Main Street and sat on a bench facing the castle. Man, that was lovely. So quiet too. Everyone had left by then. The music was still playing I believe but it was so peaceful. I was just sitting waiting there and several cast members walked past me and to be honest not one of them said a word to me about leaving. They just smiled and kept walking or said hello. You would think one of them would ask who I was waiting for, but they didn't. Maybe they knew the one store was still open, I don't know. But either way I am pretty sure we got on the last monorail out of there.

It was just such a change from what I have always seen of the place. Who can say they've seen Main Street perfectly quiet?

I had a random thought and figured id check here, Has anyone ever tried or heard of people sneaking into the resorts after they close? I never really thought about the security system at WDW and can't recall seeing cameras anywhere so was just wondering about it. Go for it, the Orlando jails currently have plenty of room for you.
