Ways to Create Extra Magic

[Daily Magic]

With the shows/entertainment currently shut down, paid parties not running, and many other unique experiences on hold, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for ways to make an extra magical experience while you’re at the parks?

The last time I visited in 2020 I took part in one of the last Villains events before the shutdown. I absolutely loved it. Also visited Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian which was a blast. Not to mention the nightly fireworks were always a fun way to end the day. With all of that gone for now what are some ways you are creating extra magic for you or your family? Would love to hear your ideas so I can surprise my wife with hopefully something unique that we’ve never done before for our upcoming trip.

Not knowing what you and your DW have done in the past and looking to see what I thought of doing to surprise my mom on our trip, you could do the Segway tour at FW.

Or book if you're "pool" people, book a cabana?

You could also take a look on Facebook at a group called "Ear For Each Other"; it's where laid-off CMs are offering their services. I was planning to surprise my mom with a retirement cake in our room one night by having one of the pastry chefs who used to work at one of the resorts bake her a themed cake (some are incredible)! Others one there put together gift baskets and deliver to your room. There's all kinds of ideas on that site which also helps out some of the out-of-work CMs.

Since Disney has stopped the tours at the moment, are any of the furloughed CM's offering to do a family park tour? I wouldnt expect any behind the scene parts, but interesting park walk throughs from those who could add more insightful info and personal stories. Or would Disney disapprove of them doing that on their own?

"Extra magic" is a relative thing. For me, it's extra magic to not have the park get grid-locked at firework time, and maybe enjoy a quiet stroll hand-in-hand by Rivers of America in the moonlight. Even just a romantic dinner at one of the nicer restaurants can be very special.
Perhaps a second proposal in front of the castle to renew vows?

My gut says that Disney would frown on that. They'd have no direct control over the tour guides, which would be unacceptable.

Renting a golf cart and going around Fort Wilderness campgrounds during Halloween and Christmas is one of the best thing we have ever done. Just seeing all the effort these people put in decorating is amazing.

Also, the Amphicar tour at the Boathouse in Disney Springs is worth it (for me).
