ha, yeah. sneaking booze into a concert...or work! perfect! i think i'm going to head in the camelbak direction. i just can't fathom the thought of somethng wrapped around my waist for a long run, no matter how comfortable. i'll likely try the pak on first, then if it doesnt feel right, i'll try the shirt.

Anything over 5 miles, I prefer a Camelbak. It takes a week to get used to, but after a week, you forget you're even wearing one.

I wish Camelbak would make a waist pak that had a bladder in it with the same type tube that have you could clip to your shirt or something. I dont mind the same flavor over a hour or 2 run... just happy to have something

Camelbak does make a few waist packs with the bladder. They look an awful lot like the dreaded " packs" that some people wear in the parks. I would guess they'd be better than something on your back, and with the tube to drink out of, better than a belt with bottles.

ebags.com has them for $45, and the Camelbak website has them for $50 for the 2010 model. Here's a zappos.com link with multiple views of the Montara:

I went to REI about two weeks ago and tried on a few Camelbak running options, and I just can't believe I'd get used to a backpack bouncing around, and after trying them on, there is no way those things won't bounce. These waist packs would fit a lot like the belts, and the 45oz bladder reservoir seems like it would be a good amount to carry without it being too heavy.

I also tried on the amphipod belt and played with it a bit, and I thought the bottles were crazy hard to get back onto the belt. There are grooves along the side of each bottle that you have to hit just right on the holster or they fall right back out.

I think the Camelbak waist pack could be fit right along the lowest part of your back and be very comfortable, with no sloshing of the water (or whatever you take) within.
