Speedo used to have a nice pair that I've used on deck for swim meets. However, I don't think they make the sandal style anymore but you could check online.

All the real fellas wear OluKai.

Tevas are for hippy grandmothers.

Keens are good but in my experience they get smelly if wet, so they become a dry-only shoe for me (in which case I'd rather just wear Birkenstocks).
Is this too hippie grandma?? 😬 girls are wearing the regular style these days but these seemed more masculine.

Do you wear the flip flop style olukai all day in the parks?

if you're okay with some heft there's some steel toed boots I've been using for a while, the "Gus" at Wal-Mart, like thirty five bucks or so,
waterproof to about three inches, resistant a bit more, and the steel toes are great for when people run over your foot with a scooter or stroller

My son hated Keens because he found them to annoying to get on and off, and he won't wear sandals with thongs.

My husband is concerned about any shoe with something between his toes for walking ten miles in a park, but glad to hear those are comfortable.
I understand about spoiling feet with better shoes. years ago, my husband brought home havianas for our toddlers/ pre-schoolers after a business trip to Brazil. They can’t tolerate junk flip flops now. 🤣

Just curious, why did you ask for waterproof? No sandal, regardless of style, is going to beat a high quality pair of New Balances with some good socks.

It's the opposite for me, when I go to the park's my shoe of choice is my Tevas. When I walk all day and the parks in my and the parks in my Brooks sneakers, my my feet are killing me by the end of the day. But if I wear my Tevas, no pain or issues at all. But I have insanely high arches.

Well, we usually try to rotate shoes, so I like having more than just sneakers for people. But the main reason is that I like everyone to wear waterproof shoes to AK because of Kali. We could bring flip flops and change, but it feels easier to just wear a comfortable pair of shoes that will dry fast.

I take a whole suitcase of shoes...just for ME! I change shoes at least twice a day. I used to hate Birkenstocks until I stopped wearing the Arizona and switched to the Mayari--straps don't cut into me and once I broke that foot bed in for my super high arches, it gave me a break from wearing my custom orthotics in my brooks. For water rides, I love wearing my Merrell sandals that have neoprene so very quick drying and have fairly decent arch support. Because of the severity of my neuropathy, any type of flip-flop-style is out of the question for me...they fall of my feet and I can't tell that it's happening. But my son loves his Reef flip flops. All the "men-folk" in our family would wear Keens for part of the day/water park days. Would love for all of us to try the Olukai's as I've heard really good things about them!

How do your Birks do in the rain? I've heard bad things so I'm careful to keep them dry, but I love them and wear Arizonas to fly and Bostons as slippers. I have no idea why, but they don't get stinky for me at all, but Keens get nasty.

The OluKai Ohanas are like Crocs material with a Birkenstock arch in flip flop form. Heaven for poolside.
