Water Parks Refillable Mug

My wife and I had this discussion when we last went to a water park. We bought our refillable mugs there and know we can pay $9 every time we go back to use them again. However, there didn’t seem to be any verification system at the drink stations. She doesn’t think there is any way for them to know. I figure it’s Disney and there is no way they’d base this on the honor system.m, there has to be a way they keep those who didn’t pay from just getting a refill. Do they have a way? If so, how?

No, I’m not asking to learn of a way to beat the system. When we go we pay our $9 per mug.

It's been a few years since we've been, but they used to put a barcode sticker on the mug when you paid and it was read at the soda stations when you filled up.

Kruuzin is correct they used to use a bar code system. They have upgraded to the RFID chip in the cup like the resorts.
