Water Parks and More confusion

Hey all,
We are finalizing our trip to WDW which starts on 7 April. We decided upon 4 day parkhoppers and are staying 7 days at a timeshare, we wanted a few days to relax in between park visits as we have young kids. We are debating on the merits of adding the water parks and more option. I am confused by the fine print. With a 4 day parkhopper we would get 4 "visits" to the attractions listed on the option, but do they have to be used on the same day we go to the park or can we do this

Day 1 Magic Kingdom
Day 2 Disney Quest
Day 3 Animal Kingdom
Day 4 Water Park
Day 5 EPCOT
Day 6 Mini Golf
Day 7 MGM

Thanks for your explanation as I don't want to waste a day on our parkhopper if it counts against our 4 days to use the Water Parks and more option...

Parkhopper and WP&M are two separate upgrades to your ticket.

Parkhopper means you can use your ticket to visit as many of the 4 major theme parks (MK, EP, HS, AK) as you like during the day, without limit. You can do two parks in a day, you can do all four parks in a day, it doesn't matter. Think of it as basically being a "go to any park at any time you want" ticket. Use of your Parkhopper benefits are not effected in any way by WP&M, and vice versa.

WP&M is slightly different. It works on a credit system based on the number of days on your ticket. Basically, each day for your ticket (in your case, 4 days) counts as a credit that is put into a "WP&M" pool for valid length of your ticket (which is 14 days from first use). You may use these credits at Water Parks, Disney Quest and Putt Putt Golf. Each attraction requires 1 WP&M credit. You may use more than 1 WP&M credit per day, but you may NOT use them at the same venue (outside of water parks, where I believe you are allowed re-entry...but don't quote me on that, I've never tested it).

So, for example, if you have a 4 day WP&M ticket, that means you have 4 WP&M credits. You can take one day and go to Blizzard Beach (1 credit), then go play Winter Summerland Putt Putt (1 credit), and then go to DisneyQuest (1 credit), and still have 1 credit for your whole trip left over.

You may not, however, in the same day, play Putt Putt twice using your credits.

I hope that helped?

One final question I was unable to find online, if we wanted to use a Water Park and More option on our 1st day before going to a major park, is this allowed or do you need to use it at a major park first in order to have it "activated"? Thanks!

As another example, you could go to MK in the morning to have breakfast at Crystal Palace before the park opens, then leave mid day and go to Blizzard Beach (1 WP&M credit) then go to EPCOT for an early Dinner (Parkhopper), then go to Fantasia Gardens for some mini golf (1 WP&M credit) and then go to Hollywood Studios for dinner and Fantasmic (Parkhopper).

That would leave you with 3 more days of park admission with the ability to park hop, and 2 WP&M credits on a 4 day ticket.

Yes. The WP&M options are available as soon as you get there. All Disney measures is "date of first use". Tickets never expire.

Well, let me clarify. Lets say I bought tickets today...but didn't use them until next year. Those tickets would still be valid. However, after first use (unless I purchased the "never expires upgrade", which is also separate), then I would need to use all WP&M credits and Park Entrance within 14 days.

So, it's a 14 day window after first use. It doesn't matter which you use first.
