water park advice

Hi everyone! We are heading down June 2-11 and will be visiting the water parks for the first time. I have been on websites that give "tips," but the OCD planner in me needs more. It will be my, my DH, and DD9. We plan on claiming a couple of chairs and roaming the parks together. What is your advice on shoes, belongings, locations of chairs, etc. Any help you can give will be awesome! Thanks in advance!

I'd lock up my KTTW card, especially if I were relying on it to buy lunch or whatever. You can also get one of those lanyards with the water-resistant box attached. The thin ones, which will hold a few credit cards and a little cash, are like $5. Cheaper than a locker, but you have to pay a little attention to it because it hangs around your neck.

I bring a bag with a comb, scrunchy, gum. Blistex...and that it. All easily replaceable if stolen.

But I'm one of those people who are generally prepared for things, think everything through and don't take too many chances. I get teased about it.

It's more about how comfortable you are trusting people not to steal and how much you value the stuff involved! Odds are good that you could stick $10K in a bag and it would be there when you got back. :)
I tend to agree. Most people at Disney are good honest people. They are there to enjoy themselves and could not be bothered thinking about what others own that might fit their needs better.

However, all it takes is that one bad egg.

We get a locker and put everything in there. Then I just wear the locker key 'bracelet'. I do not think that we ever sat down, much too busy running to each slide. If you are looking to enjoy the slides, get to the park @ 'rope drop'. The parks get rather full in June/July. Also, avoid the weekends if at all possible.

ITA, which is why I do not leave valuable items out to be stolen. :) If I'm not willing to part with it, I don't leave it lying around for anyone to take. :)

Get there early, get a locker, and put your phone/wallet/etc. in there. Wear the locker key on you.
And don't wear your swim goggles or sunglasses in the TL wave pool during the giant waves- we lost a pair of goggles that way and I almost lost my sunglasses too- they fell off but I found them.

If there is a man in your party, most swim shorts have a small velcro pocket in them which is perfect (and safe) for keeping KTTW card in. The Key is waterproof.
By the time you are going they may be all the new wristbands anyway.
The only other things i would take are a towel and dry pair of shorts to change into. So if they went missing it wouldn't be the end of the world.
