Water in park

After reading this thread I feel as if I should try this apparently bad Orlando water. People complain about Philly water but I don't have much of a problem with it.

That said, others have noted that water can be had for free at a counter service, which I believe is true for pretty much everywhere in the country. You can bring pretty much anything you can carry on your back with you, so you can get decent sized coolers for each member of your group. Or just get a refillable water bottle.

Do people who say they get sick drinking non bottled water also not drink the soda or use the ice there? The water you get in a cup at a QS is the same water the soda and ice are made with...

Two of my family members have gotten sick on multiple trips that we drank tap water. We stopped drinking it and no one has gotten sick since! Could possibly (probably not) be unrelated. I know that they use the same water in food preparation... maybe Disney is poisoning the tap water to encourage you to buy bottled water or other beverages! I am contemplating only drinking pumpkin juice from my hip flask on the next trip... Constant vigilance!

There is a reason that the water has a certain taste and smell to it over bottled. The higher mineral content and the sulphur taste and smell can upset the digestion system of some people. If your not used to the water it can be very off putting at first.

I don't buy fountain drinks at Disney because the ice they use makes it disgusting. We just buy the bottled water and not worry about it. We figure it is part of the cost of our Disney vacation, like spending $5 on a mickey shaped rice crispy bar, you know you are overpaying but get it anyway because you are on vacation. If you worry about over paying for things you would never go anywhere.

We bring our on water into the park. I'll freeze several bottles and use them for the cooler on the drive down, then carry them into the parks. We use our room refrigerator to freeze or get cold additional bottles. My wife doesn't like any tap water so either the bottle, or lemon to mask what she calls the "chlorine" taste. Me I drink from the fountain, and it is fine.
