It is so fum when sometimes we have to take the Ferry Boat to Bay Lake and when going across the water bridge see all the cars and buses that stop in the middle of the road just to see that big boat going over them. BTW sometimes when I'm driving a cruiser I stop in the bridge just to see the reaction of the people in the road, they love it.

Also if you look under the bridges at WDW they have many pipes. Does anyone have a clue what they are?

You can't possibly keep a good cycle if you are stopping in the middle of the water bridge..do the GSM's know about this?

i've always wondered what would happen if the bridge cracked? obviously water would leak but what if it was a really BIG crack. Is there some kind of system in place that would prevent the water from spilling out?

If the bridge cracked, they'd have to fix it. However, it's been there for over 30 years, and is in fine condition still. Thus, their original construction practices were adequate.

Personally, I hope it cracks, then they can drain Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon again. That's something that I'd love to see. Plus they could replenish the beaches, clean the water, & allow swimming again.
Huh!! You want it to crack??Originally posted by Bill

I don't think the bottom of Seven Seas Lagoon is very exciting, since they made it, heehee. As i'm sure many of you know, they built the utilidors first, then dug SSL and dumped that dirt on top of the utilidors and started building Floor 2 - what we see as the park. I was told once that they lined SSL with White Sand - which you can see on the beaches.
As for the pipes under the Water Bridges, my best guess would be that they are just utilities (sewer, water, steam, coolant, etc). You can see similar utilities when you're on the Train, heading around toward Toontown. You go under a bridge, which is actually the road from the Cast Member Parking Lot up to the Utilidor Entrance between the Small World and 20,000 buildings. Along that bridge is a gigantic pipe, and some others. These pipes are the Water Supply to the park from the treatment plant, and the others are Chilled Water, which is used to Air Condition the park -- it comes from the giant Cooling Towers behind the park.
