Was worried...now getting excited!!

For the past few weeks, I was really nervous about our trip in July. I didn't know what to think about the crowds. Being from Nebraska, we can handle the heat + humidity - nothing new there. But, having gone in September/May the past few years, I was nervous that the crowds would be too much for us in July. But the more I've read about FP+, the more excited I am that this trip could really be amazing despite the crowds.

Thankfully we're early risers, so we will have no problem getting there with ample time b/f rope drop. And I actually like this system of once you use your FP+, you get more, even with park hopping! (apparently, it's already up and running according to @Disneyfamily4 -who just wrote about using it). I'm really excited about the idea of (1) being able to get 3 more, but (2) not knowing what we're going to get. I like that even with the FP+, there is still going to be some spontaneity to this trip!

All in all, I'm really starting to change my attitude about this trip, and am now getting really, really anxious and excited to go!!

Yay! I was also not enthused by the concept of FP+ because we were very pleased with our tried and true way of doing things. However, the benefits are slowly coming to light, and I'm ready to embrace it on our next trip! We're also early risers so that's always a plus Have an amazing trip! At least in July you'll have longer park hours!

You will have a great trip. I was dreading the magic bands and fast pass plus, but they worked out to be great. I m very curious to see how the park hopping works out for you. During my trip, the park hopping and fast passes were in a test phase. After we entered the 2nd park, every ride was available for fast pass except for Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Splash. Whenever you click one of those rides, the Disney Experience AP would always say "High Volume Not Available". On just one rainy night, Splash was finally available, but of course nobody was going to go on it then. Let us know how it works out for you.

Go for rope drop, use FP+ and late EMH and you'll do everything you want. You would have a blast either way, but have fun!
