Was World of Motion more timeless than Spaceship Earth?

I think alot of that is based on your personal opinion (no disrespect, we all have our favs or least favs). For me the two rides I couldnt get enough of was wom and imagination (1983). Followed by spaceship earth the land and the dinosaur scene and how your seat became transportation in the energy building. I am sure I am not the only one that loved WOM and think with updates it would be fine today.. and we would have been better off with a cars land in the studios.
I'd have to agree. In my mind as a classic SSE is the king right now, but I defy anyone to tell me that WoM wasn't the most entertaining complete attraction that was part of the original EPCOT Ctr. attractions. The first few minutes of Imagination had the best Edutainment potential but only in the first few turntable minutes. That was amazing to me, but the rest was not. However, the originals of Energy had the Dinosaur that was the only redeeming thing about it (found the Ellen incarnation better) and Horizons was fun the first few times but for many including myself it just became a place to doze off. WoM had it all and it was less learning and more fun then any of them. I appreciate that SSE is still there, at least for now, but the two things I miss most would be WoM and the first part of the Dreamfinder and Figment scene. I wasn't a kid when I first saw it, I was in my late 30's and never was more impressed with a display of animatronics then that. Just for the sake of information, my opinion of the worlds best Animatronic show has to be American Adventure.

I think World of Motion was very similar in many aspects, but It wasn't timeless per say because it didn't mention electric vehicles and self driving cars

OMG SAME!! That was the part I remembered first about it. That and the cavemen blowing on their feet. Then the big city.

For some reason Skull Mountain at Six Flags Great Adventure reminds me of that part because of the cave paintings following an outdoor ish portion (well its just big open windows but it feels like it cuz this had a roof on it too you know what I mean!)

Yes, that was just one of the many fun parts. I do so wish there were some good quality video's of it. In that sense it was before its time. I always looked forward for that part of it. I also used to escort handicapped people to WDW back then and was totally impressed with the wheelchair push on vehicle that didn't require stopping the ride. It's the only place I ever saw that system. A little non-technical because the CM had to grab the back of the chair and run the chair with the person in it, up a ramp in the back of the still moving unit into preformed drop points that the wheels dropped into so it wouldn't move during the ride.

As I said, the ending could have easily included that if in no other way have a quick reference to them to the display area, they had plenty of room for it as we were leaving. There was plenty of useless cars on display that any new thing over the years could have been shown. But, like SSE, most of the attraction was history, how does one update history. History is one thing that cannot be updated into something else. History cannot be dated in the sense of modernized.

I provided multiple material examples to support my opinion too. You may not like the conclusion, but the observations are not really under dispute. It didn't have technical wows like it's peers (Horizons and SSE).. it essentially was the same presentation format as SSE.. and who is going to argue WoM's theme song is better recognized and admired vs SSE and Imagination's? Things like the speedtunnels and city finale were rehashes as well.

WoM was bland compared to it's peers - yes my opinion but one that can be justified. It's awe came from its scale and respected now due to the classic WED presentation format it used. Everyone loves Marc Davis character design and will always recognize that style - but the attraction as a whole... it was behind several of its peers no doubt and not any hall of famer IMO.

Where's the 180 top moment? Or the imax moments in Horizons... or the choose your own ending.. or the heart and character of figment... or the impressive communicore or imageworks exhibits?

A better discussion might be... who would you rank lower, UoE, WoM, or Living Seas.

It may be justified within the confines of your opinion. A ride like that, if you throw out the unprovable observation of comparison, is objective. You are right in your opinion as some of us are right in our opinion. The question was WoM more timeless than SSE not what is technically more advanced. Timelessness is determined objectivity by each individual. If it were still there with regular updates to the ending it would be timeless. Since it was gutted to have those thrilling speeds in an overgrown go-cart (the same speed as most of us drove down World Drive) it didn't ever get the chance to be tested for timelessness.

I will! - It's Fun To Be Free is far more memorable (and singable) than SSE orchestration. I do enjoy SSE's music within the ride, but I do not believe guests walk around humming it afterwards. Just a sample of timeless moments for me (burned a hole in my memories decades later).

He was probably referring to "Tomorrows Child". It was very good and connected to the attraction but lacked the carry it though melody that WoM had or One little Spark or places like Small World or CoP had.

thanks - although it was not my favorite, how could I forget Tomorrow's Child, which is pretty iconic. I still prefer the more melodic 'Free', but perhaps just my taste. The classical sounding pieces in SSE always resonated with me more than Tomorrow's Child.
