It looked like a scary oversized non fatal catastrophic explosion that would have been heard all over Florida to me. I know here on Long Island when we had a jet break the sound barrier it was heard all across the island. But in disney world when you hear a sound like that your probably assuming they launched some fireworks somewhere in the parks.

It's nearly 900 miles between the launch site and WDW....

It wasn't launched in Florida - I'd be more likely to hear it here in RI than anyone in FL would.

Yes, it has indeed been officially classified as a SONFCE by NASA.
The cause has yet to determined, but, I hear fallout from "Wishes" fireworks is the chief suspect.

Even if it was launched from KSC you likely would not have heard it.
I bet you the SLS coming up in the next few years will be heard or at least the felt in Orlando.

The Saturn V launches were felt all the way up to South Georgia and the night launches lit up the sky for hundreds of miles.
The SLS is more powerful than the Saturn V

I would agree. Cant wait to see that thing go up! We get a pretty good view from our front yard for most launches with good clear weather even though we live near Jacksonville.

Yep, when they start sendin' these babies up, we may be able to feel 'em here, in Texas. :)
