Was Chairman Clench "Sinister"?

I got that impression from my one and only experience at AE. I think it was the Phil Hartman version. I got the impression that they wanted to enslave Earth, not just make a profit. They used words that were close but not quite correct - what you'd expect from a non native-English speaker - but they did seem sinister. Like saying "Thank you for your submission" instead of "Thank you for your cooperation".

They were still using those "not quite correct" words in the version that played until the attraction closed.

Does anyone else recognize the actor that's playing Chairman Clench as the high school principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off? That voice is so distinctive!

Yes, Jeffrey Jones does indeed have a very distinctive voice. :)

Yet another reason for Disney not to use "famous" (now "infamous") people for voicework. File this next to ______ Wee Herman.

Yes, indeed.

I'm sure at that point they hope that people don't recognize the voice when they hear it in AE or Star Tours.

Apparently you can't use (paging) Mister Herman's first name on the boards.

LOL!!!

That's one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies.

"Paging Mr. Herman. Mr. Herman, You have a telephone call at the front desk" - In The Dubbed Voice

Such a great movie. A lot of people dismiss it offhand, but it's great on so many levels. It's directed by Tim Burton, with a Danny Elfman soundtrack for crying out loud.

"Do you have any dreams, ______ Wee?"
"Well, I'm rolling a big doughnut, and there's a snake wearing a vest .."
"Not *those* dreams, ______ Wee."

If I am remembering correctly didn't Jeff Jones get arrested for possession of child last year?If so that would be a pretty good reason for Disney to at least cast him out of production.Someone back me up, am I right about the charges?
