Remember the first day of school when the teacher wanted everyone to stand up & introduce themselves? I was never any good at that, so don't expect anything too dramatic here.

A trusted friend (MKTiggerMan) led me here & after some browsing, I've decided to come out of my shell & say hello. My name is Dawn. I am 26, live in the pits of slime (A.K.A. South FL) & I have way too much time on my hands. Aside from an obsessive love of everything Disney, I am also fanatical over baseball & music. Strange combination, but my top 3 passions are Disney, 80's rock ("hair bands") & the Atlanta Braves. Notice, I never claimed to be normal. :animwink:

Not a whole lot to tell other than that. I am on AOL pretty much around the clock & always up for chatting, so if you're the sociable type, feel free to buzz me anytime. Insomnia breeds availability! :D I'm somewhat of a technological idiot, so forgive me if it takes me a while to get into the swing of things here. I swear I'm not as challenged as I may sometimes appear.

Another South Floridian? My condolences! :animwink: It's no secret, I absolutely HATE South FL. I am a transplanted Texan, so I'm really not meant for the Coconut Grove type thing. I'm just now learning to respect (but not quite enjoy) the beach. I think I'd like it more if everyone I knew here didn't have the good sense to relocate & leave me behind! :lol:

And as far as baseball goes, I received ample harrassment from a board I used to frequent on this topic already. Yes, I know our pitching staff is a disappointment. Yes, I know that we are likely to lose Glavine & Maddux. Yes, I know that the Braves are floundering at the moment. Did I leave anything out? BUT...I also know it is early in the season, Sheffield is the master, I am a super-loyal fan & Chipper Jones looks GREAT in that uniform! :D (And no, the uniforms, or the bodies that fill them are NOT the reason for my adoration...that's all just a plus!)

LoL..well..I love it here..compaired to NY where I used to live..

i do hate the beach tho...its a shame cuz i live near it (really near)...Im in north miami beach...but you cant beat the weather...

I dont plan on moving any time sooon...hehe..this is going to be my resting place..at least I hope so...

Wow! We really are neighbors! I am in South Hollywood very near the beach & Gulfstream.

I like the beach at night as a sort of "thinking spot", but it takes an act of God to get me there in the heat of the day with all the 400lb. men in Speedos & sticky sand that is just itching to attach itself to my skin! ACK! OK...enough of my "I hate sand" rant. :lol:

Ah..so you live near Ghetto Disneyland (boomers)...hehe...I used to do work for a company that was located next to gulf stream..i kinda like that area..but I am quickly falling in love with North Miami/Aventura...I never have to leave my high rise, and the views here in this town are amazing...

The beach at night is actually not bad...it used to really suck tho when i had long hair (which i miss)...the winds would really put me in knots..but damn..so calm..so soothing...during the day..HA...never gunna happens..too many wackos

Um.. none of us around here claim to be normal.. and if they do maybe they should have that checked ;). What fun is it to be normal anyways.

Welcome ... many of us are disney fanatics :)... well I admit I am... hehe.

And just to Mainstreet... I too like the Cards ... cause my mom is originally from St. Louis :). If not then the Anaheim Angels cause.. um... I'm in LA and..... it matches my name? hehe
