We're the family that rushes from attraction to attractions and when we aren't we're rushing from attraction to a dining reservation. We're hoping to slow down this trip and focus on our favorites as well as just taking in some of the hidden jewels in each park. We have already decided that we are going to spend an entire day exploring the world showcase in Epcot but not really sure about the other parks. I'm sure we'll take our time in FLE but can anyone suggest any others? Thanks.

I am very similar in that we are running from attraction to attraction trying to get every ounce of Disney out of our vacation. We don't do dinner reservations because it makes things to structured and it allows us to wing it a little more. We'll do quick service in the parks to give us flexibility. We went in August and are going back in December. The whole point of this trip is to see all the decorations. We've decided that we are going to make a list of certain rides we MUST do. We'll do those and then spend time just walking around the park to soak in the ambience and all the Christmas decorations. Hopefully we can stick to it.

We are doing the exact thing (making list of must do rides and just trying to experience the magic that is commonly missed when rushing from my attraction to the next). We are making a few ADR's for the meals that we really want to try but haven't been able to.

We usually go to the world 3 times a year. We use to be the family that tried to squeeze everything in. I would come home exhausted after 6 or 7 days. It was not a relaxing vacation.

A couple of thing I found that make my trips more enjoyable.
ADR are usually very stressful. I find that they fall at the wrong time when I'm usually in the wrong park. Now we only do ADR for dinner and usually at a resort.

Don't plan was some good advice you got. I quit planning a few trips ago. When we get up, we decide where we want to go.

Resort hopping is very relaxing. I had no idea how many nice properties Disney had until we did this.

Pool time at your resort. This is a must for us. Afternoon swim, a nap, back to the park to EMH.

Boardwalk and DD always have alot to offer maybe spend some time at DQ (If that is your sort of thing). Also look for Hidden Mickeys or check out hidden secrets (Like the ring at HM or the Key under the mat at Muppets). Check out a tour and look for ways to score magical moments!

I'd recommend some extra time in the Magic Kingdom as well, to explore Tom Sawyer Island and try out the Pirate's Adventure: Treasure of the Seven Seas scavenger hunt in Adventureland.
