Walt Disneyland Bay Resort (Redone)

2011-
January 1 was the ending of the 5 Years of Celebration Parade and the 5 year celebration. But, 2011 was also the year that the Walt Disneyland Bay Resort opened its second gate, Disney's Geographyland. Meanwhile, at Disneyland Park, New Fantasyland Phase III opened with the following:

- Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid
- Be Our Guest: Belle's Adventure to the Castle
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Be Our Guest Restaurant
- The Tangled Adventure
- The Snuggly Duckling

There were also rumors about a fourth hotel about to be greenlit, but nothing was official. There were also rumors that there would be a Phase IV and Phase V for New Fantasyland but again, nothing was confirmed. With all the offerings around the resort, surveys said that guests were staying an average 2-3 nights at the resort, and half of the guests were staying on property.

As the year went by, one thing was confirmed, there will be a Phase IV for New Fantasyland.​

Disney's Geographyland
Opening Day:
It's the day of days, January 13, 2011. The world has joined Disney to welcome guests to different countries. Disney's Geographyland. Styled by EPCOT, the only thing we focus on is the world. Eight countries; America, Brazil, England, China, Morocco, Japan, Canada, and France, fill this theme park with wonder. One parade, the Around the World Parade, and one spectacular nighttime show, Life: A Firework Spectacular. We hope to cover many guests in wonder as this world escapes reality. Thank you, one and all.

Lands:
Guests enter with Reunion Island. At the start, it seems like a humble jumble of blah, but it makes a lot of sense. There's Cafe el Cafe, The American Diner, Temple of the Forbidden Foods, Ping's Popping Merchandise, The Maple Logging Co., and The Reunion Island Gift Shop. The centerpiece is a lake called Geography Lake.

Moving on to the left is America. The land is really called the American Experience. It contains a replica of the White House which contains Presidential Restaurant and the American Experience. There's also the Land of One, Land of All Shop. Tucked in a corner is a walkway to the Disney Condos.

Welcome to Brazil! Home of a Brazilian things. The land is split in two, Rio de Janeiro and Amazon Beach. Rio de Janeiro contains the Rio Boat Ride, Temple Villa Cafe, and San Shop. Amazon Beach contains Through the Amazon, Fish and Foods, and the Beach House Hut. The land is very overgrown in a beautiful way, and palms fill each sub-land.

England is the place to be. With a replica of Big Ben, and a Meet & Greet with Mary Poppins, the land is home to the famous Fish and Chips Cafe. It's also home to Poppins Gardens and British By the Bay Company. Landscaping is very precise and all the famous British Disney characters come out like Alice and Mary Poppins. Come on down to the England in America.

The China Pavilion is filled with temples and statues. This is much like the China Pavilion in EPCOT. It has the Reflections of China Circle-Vision, The Nine Dragons restaurant, and the Terracotta Place. There is also a bamboo grove where Mulan and/or Mushu will come out for meet and greets. Enjoy the Chinese acrobats that spontaneously jump about in the area.

Guarding the entrance to the Moroccan pavilion is a reproduction of the Koutoubia Minaret of Marrakesh, a prayer tower of the 12th century mosque. The Restaurant Marrakesh offers visitors a chance to sample the exotic cuisine of Morocco whilst enjoying Moroccan entertainment. This land is a carbon copy of EPCOT's Moroccan Pavilion.

Japan here is also a carbon copy of EPCOT's. A towering blue-roofed pagoda, which is a replica of a 7th century Horyuji Temple, is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Matsuriza, Japanese taiko drumming, is performed several times a day, check the Daily Times Guide for exact times. A replica of the coronation and ceremonial halls of Japan's Imperial Palace is home to the Mitsukoshi Department Store. At Teppan Edo, guests are seated at an 8 seat white corian counter around a large grill where chefs chop, prepare and cook your meal with such skill and speed, it provides a means of entertainment to enhance your dining experience.

Canada, oh Canada. Home to famous syrup, in fact, you can find that at the Maple Leaf Cafe along with the Canada, Oh Canada Gift Shop. If you stroll over to the Castle Stage where periodically through the day, loggers will come out and perform wood-chopping acts and sing. If you would like to learn more about Canada, take a look at the French-Canadian Crossover Gallery which serves two purposes, one being to learn about Canada/France, and to provide a short cut-through to the next land, France.

Bonjour from France, not really. Welcome. First you see a shorter replica of the Eiffel Tower and if you look down, you may be able to see cobblestone roads. Under the Eiffel Tower is the Eiffel Heights Dining Hall. Next to that is the Tower of Gifts. Behind all that is the Ratatouille Adventure.

2012 -
2012 was a doozy for Disneyland Park. Most original rides were either closed or refurbished. First up, on January 13, Pirates of the Caribbean closed for refurbishment from the movie a year back and the Jungle Cruise reopened after two years. The new Jungle Cruise was renamed to the jungle Cruise Plus Two.

On March 21, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea closed. Just one day after, Captain EO closed and a day later, the space was used for a Cars Meet & Greet. That closed just a week later on March 28.

In April, Disney announced a fourth hotel called the Disney Magic Resort Hotel. On April 6, Mickey's Royal Restaurant at the Walt Disneyland Bay Resort Hotel & Spa underwent refurbishment and reopened on April 28. Animation Courtyard was refurbished on April 30.

Mid-year, Disney unveiled the plans about Phase IV of New Fantasyland. It was to add a Tangled-themed land at the back of Storybook Lake. It would contain the relocated Snuggly Duckling and The Tangled Adventure.

September was known as the "month of closures." On September 2, Journey to the Center of the Earth closed as well as Classic Today. On September 4, Snow White's Scary Adventures closed. On September 13, Mission: Revolution closed. Lastly, on September 30, Mystic Manor closed and was demolished a day later. These closures were all unknown but insiders say that they closed for something big. Huge, even. But, we'll just have to see.

Finally in December, Princess Tiana was removed from the Disney Hello Characters building and Wreck-it Ralph characters moved in.​

2013-

In January, Fantasyland was drastically renamed Storybookland and every building was redone like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride above. On February 12, Snow White's Scary Adventures reopened as the Disney Channel Showcase. This is a sit-down show that lasts 20 minutes.

On March 15, Journey to the Center of the Earth reopened as the Future is Now dark-ride. On April 2, Mission: Revolution became an expansion for Haunted Tower.

On June 3, Disney announced plans for the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea lake. The plan was to make a water ride called Underwater Central. They said it would open a year later. Also being announced on June 23 was the third theme park, Disney's Live Action Studios.

Finally, in December, with Frozen getting such a high review, Disney decided to make and Arendelle sub-land instead of a Tangled-themed sub-land. The sub-land would open in 2016. There was also one leak that Toy Story Land would quietly close in 2014, but nothing official was announced.

2014-

This year was quite slow and small as not many things started. First of all, on February 1, Disney Channel Showcase closed. Then on February 10, it reopened as Frozen! Live.

On March 10, Mickey's Soundsational Parade came back. On March 18, Wishes came back.

On April 8, Disney announced an unplanned closing of Toy Story Land. Disney said it would close on May 2, and would reopen as Disney's Summer Funland for the summer season. On April 10, Disney announced the ending of the Independence Day Parade, as it would not run this year.

On June 1, Disney's Summer Funland opened with two new shows, Olaf's Summer Spectacular and Disney's Beach Party Show. On June 2, Disney announced another big expansion for Disney Shops Village called the Disney Docks. It would add five new shops, two restaurants, Earl of Sandwich and McDonalds on the Dock, and a new attraction, Characters in Flight.

In November, Disney Hello Characters welcomed Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. Disney also announced the opening date of Disney's Live Action Studios, March 2, 2015. Lastly, Disney cancelled Underwater Central for an unknown reason.

Spoiler: Disney's Summer Funland

[Starting off at the entrance, to the left is Olaf's Summer Spectacular, and to the right is Disney's Beach Party Show. Most of the original buildings are covered up by paper. Straight ahead is the Woody doll still, and below it is Sandy Shores Restaurant.

Ride: Once guests are seated in the outdoor theater, Olaf comes out and welcomes everyone. He points randomly to a child guest and says, "Are you Sven?". He points to another child and says, "You must be Sven too!". Olaf giggles. Then, Olaf starts to sing, "In Summer". All of a sudden, Elsa and Anna come up on stage and greets the crowd and Olaf. "Hello everyone! Olaf, they're not all Sven." Elsa says. Sven then comes on stage and says, "Well it'd be fun if they were.". The reindeer comes out and Sven starts singing a special song called, "They're all Svens". The show then picks up with the spectacular projection display of snowflakes in summer and Anna tells Elsa to stop. A soapy substance falls on stage like most Disney "snow". Lastly, Olaf, Elsa, Anna, and Sven sing, "For the First Time in Forever" before waving you goodbye.

Ride: This show is hosted by Phineas and Ferb. The first thing they do is say hello and unveil they're newest contraption, the Everything-Blows-At-The-Beach-Boomer. They ask two kids from the audience to help start it. The kids walk up on stage and press the START button. Gadgets in the seat make the guests rumble. Then, everything goes dark. The moon on stage shines and sand fills the stage. "See, that was awesome!" Phineas says. Ferb nods. On high attendance days, the show would continue with Dr. Doofenschmirtz coming in and destroying the beach with the Freeze-inator. A short show for sure, but this is what's intended for the land. ]
