They killed the DVC discount prior to Covid. It seems to me that they severed any special relationship to the Platinum/Incredipass when they killed off the discount post covid reopening.
Interesting note here
“The DVC Disney Sorcerer Pass is expected to be on sale more often throughout the year, even when the pass is not broadly available for sale to Florida Residents.”
Bet they’ve had a ton of backlash from DVC members…as they should
I believe it was chapeked with “only YOU can but this magic!!”They killed the DVC discount prior to Covid.
I just wonder how much of this decision was from backlash or from forecast trendsDepends on how much Bob/Josh and DVD think they can thumb their nose at what are arguably some of their most loyal customers.
Oh yes, that was another Bob Special©. It's surprising when you can despise someone so much, yet still find reasons to despise them even more, even after they were fired for gross incompetence. He never should have been installed by Bob the First to run P&R in the first place...I believe it was chapeked with “only YOU cab but this magic!!”
Not pressure because thats existed for years without movement. So a little bit of projected trend and a little bit of logistics (hopefully completed new systems to activate).Nice! Makes you wonder if they were pressured, or if they see trends and need this
Correct, blue card*Direct and grandfathered in (blue card members) I assume
Airfare is killer right now.Anyone check room availability lately? Like SOON?
How about flights?
Plenty of space…and discounts.
Just saying
Don’t strain your elbows patting Disney on the back
Killer good or killer bad?Airfare is killer right now.
I think my favorite part of your gimmick is how you try to portray that Disney is somehow 'fooling' or 'scamming' every single person that decides to pay them money.I think iger’s move to increase base prices behind the housing crash discounts was his most successful financial move. Bravo
If you remember the boards back then…people went for the gag hook, line and stinker
Out of state non-grandfathered resale owners (white card owners) are lumped in the same bucket as out of state nonDVC. Incredi-pasd would be the only option similar to how Platinum was the only option pre-pandemic. And platinum I think at that time was less than sorcerer now?Resale DVC owners (non grandfathered) won't be able to get access to the IncrediPass just as frequent I'd imagine, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Hmmm…do yuh remember people “wondering out loud” on forums why their “free dining” was going up?…but then pivoting a second later?I think my favorite part of your gimmick is how you try to portray that Disney is somehow 'fooling' or 'scamming' every single person that decides to pay them money.
Here's the real truth: Disney ticket prices were way, way, way underpriced for decades.
That is exactly what is going on.Important to note DLR version of the Incridipass has been for sale since the start of the year. Looks like the future doesn’t look so good for “unprecedented demand.”
As much as people here complain about the hassle of park reservations at WDW, I think they are a huge deal breaker - especially being locked out when dates fill - at DLR and has lead to much softer than historical demand for APs there. of course the dynamics at DLR have always been dramatically different than WDW in regards to number of APs vs day guests/resort guests.Important to note DLR version of the Incridipass has been for sale since the start of the year. I predicted this. Post Covid boom and with their prices now, lower and less frequent repeat guests ESPECIALLY when they weren’t selling APsI believe they are expecting a slower than originally expected summer. Resuming AP sales are an easy lever to increase attendance. Not sure how long they can rely on this new mechanism.
