Please excuse me if Ive posted this in the wrong area, but Im a newb. The family and I are returning to WDW in September, and this year its a fairly special occasion. My wife and I will be celebrating our tenth anniversary. She has basically sacrificed what was a huge party for us so that we can go back this year (as I got really sick last year when we went for the first time), so I want to make sure that this is a trip she will never forget.
I have already got the plans together for a spa day for her and her friend who is coming with us, and was thinking of doing one of the in room gift surprises, but I was wondering if anyone with more Disney experience had some recommendations that might really make this awesome for her. She is not as Mouse Crazy as I am, but does have a soft spot for Belle.
I really want this to be worth it for her in the end as well.

When we celebrated our 20th, we had it marked on our reservation we were celebrating and we wore the buttons. We got an anniversary specific dessert at the Yachtsman. If you are looking for something specific, or to make sure you get something, I would make sure you let them know at the check in desk, or have them note it on your reservation.

BTW - congrats!

Thought I'd share an update with everyone. 174 to go. Be Our Guest is booked. Custom cake ordered. I am getting a Beauty and The Beast came featuring Belle and the stained Glass window. Ending the evening with an in room celebration and the neighbour (going with us) taking the kids for the evening. Still waiting to hear back on the boat.

RH, have you ever watched the youtube videos of Disney proposals? There are some great ideas that you could probably tweek to your needs for a 10th anniversary. One thing that could be very special for your wife. Whether you go to Akerhus , Royal Table OR BUEATY AND THE BEAST for DINNER...sit down for dinner, order, eat and between dinner and dessert, excuse yourself to go to the 'bathroom'. Have 10 red long stem Roses ready at the host podium(?), ask 10 unknown guests that are waiting for a table to assist you, explain to them that you are celebrating your anniversary and ask each of them to bring a rose to your wife and wish her a happy anniversary. Once all the roses are given, you can always have some other special gift delivered as a finale! Receiving the roses will bring attention to her and make her feel special...all eyes will be on her! Maybe as the finale you can have Belle come and present her with a Tiara or a ring or another gift! You seem imaginative so if you watch the propsals on youtube, I am sure you will get some ideas!

Another anniversary question...going in about a month to celebrate our 17th. Already have a nice dinner planned but I often see pics where restaurants provide desserts for those celebrating anniversaries. Is this something you can set up in advance, do you let them know at the door or do people get this because they are wearing an anniversary button?

I got a cake for my brother and sister-in-law's fifth anniversary last year. From what I researched, you can either set it up in advance or you can let them know at the door. Most of the restaurants have small celebration cakes on stand-by, and you can let them know that you want one when you check in. If you want something larger or personalized, you can order it online in advance. I did a Beauty and the Beast cake the night we had reservations at Be Our Guest. I ordered the whole thing online, and it worked perfectly.

I am sooooo stealing the rose idea, that is amazing!!

I have been working on something pretty cool and am getting some help from WDW to see what we can pull off. If it all works out I will be sure to flood this with pics!!
