It might not happen soon but I think it will happen. I don't know this for sure but don't the buses cost more money to maintain? It would see that way to me but then again I don't know much. ANd as for the typos anyone that's really excited about something might stumble over words because they're typing so fast(I know I have:rolleyes: ). I don't mean to come off sounding mean, but can you be a little optimistic about it it's really cool to at least think about.

No professional will read a letter with spelling or grammatical mistakes. They lack the time and patience. That is why resumes w/ either are thrown out.

im sure if this person wanted professional's to look at this they would check for spelling and make sure everything is perfect but i dont think this person was only trying to inform us on the situation

Disney needs a ET type feel good ride I think. Maybe a ride dedicated to the Wizaed of OZ...dare I say. And no, im not saying universal is better, dont get on my case.

Soon the Disney-MGM Studios will be expanding .Some cast members all ready new about this and was told to hush about the new development. In 2006/2007 ,a new area across from World Drive, will open with a few new attractions and shows linked by a walkway or tram. Also the Monorail will be connected from Epcot to the Studios and has been on the drawing boards for years-but with no financing at the moment to expand. This is all I have for the moment from a freind of mine at Imagineering in Glendale ( he just completed work on Mission : Space). So this could be just hear say from him.

So let me get this strait, they want to build more to MGM on the other side of highway, thats kinda weird.

I rather have someone get out the information - Grammar and Spelling mistakes happen all the time –

This board is an informal board –

I don’t think were being graded for our discussions

So Give Others a Break

While I welcome others' ideas, anything to be taken with any seriousness comes from someone who is at least somewhat well-educated. I understand a typo here and there, but eleven in one paragraph gets annoying, and really downplays any credibility.

Hey If I did not use Word’s spell check they I would probably have 20 mistakes in one paragraph - I'm probably one of the worst spellers in the world.

Sometimes people want to get out info so fast that they forget to spell check

I'll consider it great once something official is said or there is concrete information to show that this is happening.

Why? Read my signature.

truth or not I dont know but here is an interesting way of looking at use for the land across the drive - Parking lot - then you tram everyone to the new entrance via a bridge over world drive - the old parking lot would then become additional park area and thus eliminate the problem of having the park split intto two halves and the logistical nightmares that would create

Now this goes back a few years, but before they built Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, I seem to remember that there was talk that the coaster would feature a launch that would go under World Drive, then the bulk of the coaster would be on the other side of World Drive, returning to the station on the Studios side. Granted, this was rumor only, but it was a strong rumor back then.

Does anybody else remember this story?

That would have been cool.

The only problem I see with the project is guest would have to go back and forth between the road. I think Disney want to keep people in the park during the day. They also want to keep them in a sort of magical or taken away from present world. I don’t know how they could get guest to the another half without letting people see the outside.

This is one strange rumor. Some of you stated above that you actually heard this rumor before...when and where? The idea of a bridge stretching across World Drive is bizarre. First off i can't imagine people walking such an enormous distance with nothing in between and second a tram connecting you to the second portion of a park is even harder to believe. Can you imagine the lines and the wait. I enjoy a good rumor, but i hope this isn't something someone just made up for the sake of starting a thread...cuz they got me hook line and "stinker" to post a reply. :hammer:

I think you could probably stick a few minor (dare I say Dumbo-esque) rides and overgrown food stands on a bridge, and get away with it. Make a tram or trolley for those who don't want to walk, and you could do it.

But there's no real indication that this is happening, so it's just fun talk for now...

Couldn't they do something like in AK where you take a train to Rafiki's planet watch? Theme the other "half" a little different and make it almost a large "pavillion/land" with plenty of attractions there, and make a train (or tram) ride over there as part of the whole experience..... it could be going back to earlier hollywood, or current hollywood or something, I'm just trying to think of otherways they could do this possibly.

I actually like the idea of moving the parking lot across the street, and using the current parking lot for expansion. By the way, no one "made this up". It is an actual working idea for maybe 10-15 years down the line.

Putting rides on a bridge wouldn't be a good idea. That's going to be a massive amount of weight, plus foot traffic.
