Yesterday, Walt Disney World announced that approximately 1,700 Walt Disney World Cast Members donated a collective $47,000 towards disaster relief in Haiti. This is in addition to the $100,000 donated by the Walt Disney Company. Furthermore, 1,700 Mickey Mouse plush toys (one for each CM that donated) are being donated to Haiti disaster relief projects involving children.
I'm proud to be one of those who donated, and to know several other CM friends who did as well. If anyone out there hasn't donated to the Haiti relief effort, and would like to, please contact the Red Cross or another reputable relief organization.
