Walt Disney World Annual Pass closure period extension watch

Has anyone whose pass expired during the closure had extensions yet? I'm expecting 49 days to be added, although I appreciate they're probably dealing with these in batches and it must be a huge task!

I also now have personal confirmation that my mom's Non FL Res Platinum that expired 15 Apr (and previously went MIA from the account) is now back on the account with the update expiration of 10 Aug :)

Got an extension on our 5-27 EXP Gold APs. We don't want it, already requested partial credit. 9-2020 is of no use to us, as we fly in 2x per year from MI... APR and NOV. And we cancelled NOV 2020. Next trip maybe.... APR 2021 (booked).
Today, bought two NEW Gold APs - we can activate when there is something to activate for.

As WDW also screwed us on our 2020 APR DVC points (not allowed to bank - they suggested RCI)? Joined Davids. We will rent these out, and do our best to drive down Standard Room Rentals.

I have had some reports that they have, and others are still waiting. So you aren't alone :)

Ours (Platinum, out of state so paid in full) expired and was renewed during the closure. I looked at it early this afternoon, maybe 2-3 hours ago and it hadn't changed, but I just rechecked and now it's been extended.

My May 28 expired paid in full has just (6:30pm) re-appeared in MDX and has been extended to August 23 2020.

From what people have reported so far it seems like the extended date is just covering the number of days WDW was closed. There is no additional days added to compensate for the reservation period?

Over in HKDL, pass holders are getting extended for the closure period plus an additional 30 days:

Affected Magic Access memberships will be automatically extended by the number of days of the Park closure (between January 26, 2020 and June 17, 2020), minus the number of blockout dates on weekdays applicable to the respective membership tiers, plus an additional 30 days.

My AP's just bumped from expiring on Dec 8th to expiring April 3rd. Planning to request a partial refund instead of the extension.

Were you able to do this? We originally requested the extension but with the restrictions in place we have no plans on returning anytime soon. I plan on calling tomorrow to see if we can get a partial refund.

Our pass expiries refreshed overnight. Original expiry May 5, now Aug 30. In the unlikely event we're allowed to travel from the UK to US, we hope to. Not feeling optimistic though!

The remaining passes in our account have now updated. The 2 that expired in Sept did it before bed last night, and the one in Feb 2021 was updated by the time I woke up. I guess now I just wait for our MNSSHP tickets to disappear 😞

Does anyone have a pass that has not been extended?

My FL resident Platinum Plus (exp 6/1/2020) renewed as Platinum (exp 6/1/2021) has not been extended
Also my husband and son with FL Gold passes (exp 7/1/2020) have not been extended. (All paid in full)

So far we are 4 of 7 passes in the family extended. Only the above 3 are left.

Has anyone seen the new policy about the 30 day extension?
My current My Disney experience says my passes expire on Aug 28th. It says in the new policy that if we don't ask for a refund, we will get 30 days added. But it won't show until October 2020, Well my 30 day extension would then go to Sept 28th. I'm so confused now.

If you are an Annual Passholder that has paid in full, your options include:
  • You will receive a one month extension to your pass (unless you choose one of the alternative options below). This additional month will automatically be processed and visible in your My Disney Experience account in October 2020.
  • Alternatively, and in lieu of the one month extension, Passholders who have paid in full may choose to cancel their annual pass and receive a partial refund.

So we can finally cancel our AP and get a refund for the unused portion from March 15th - onward? That means we have to call again and request this? I already called to request my partial refund instead of pass extension and I was on hold forever just to be told that someone will eventually call me back sometime in the future to process that.... Why is this process so hard.

6 Platinum Plus AP's all expired on the same date same account filed for extension, Saturday 2 of the passes were extended the other 4 are not. I called Saturday 2 hours on the phone I was told call back Sunday if they are not updated, I called Sunday I stated at 5pm I was disconnected after just over 2 hours I called again spoke to a supervisor put back into the queue, at 11:01pm the recording said we are closed call back after normal business hours.

I call today 9am when they open I am on hold for 3 hours 13 minutes I get a CM she says let me look at your passes and put you on a brief hold. Guess what dickey dial tone again, I am now back on the horn 185 minute wait.

Sad part I have 5 resort stays coming up starting next month Disney has really screwed this up they should have cross checked guests names staying at resorts with AP holders and work on those AP's 1st.
